Chronicle XCIII
Twelfth month, Thirty-first day
Year Two of the Recent Awakenings
An Attack by a Demonic Cat
In accordance with the will of the Lord Chamberlain, and with only humblest hopes to be of service to the esteemed denizens of the Castle Marrach, I here scribe the attack on ser Aislinn by a cat of demonic influence on this the 31st day of the Moon After Estrella.
Shortly before the third late bell on this day, several denizens were gathered in the Refectory, enjoying Her Majesty’s hospitality when a tabby cat did enter the room. Sera Aislinn proceeded to pet the cat in a playful manner as is the habit of those denizens who enjoy our feline companions. The tabby cat at first responded normally to sera Aislinn’s petting but then became agitated. According to a witness, one sera Aislin, the cat’s eyes flashed a demonic green color, and the aspect of the cat changed dramatically. The feline then proceeded to hop on its hind legs and attack sera Aislinn. The sera was bitten badly upon the hand.
Subsequent to the bite, sera Aislinn became unconscious and collapsed upon the floor of the Refectory. She then dragged herself into the eastern end of the Dining Hall and under the northern table. Aspirant Chronicler Astana and this Chronicler then entered upon the scene, and the Aspirant began to tend to sera Aislinn with the help of sera Cassandra and sera Aislinn. Sera Aislinn became delusional, frantically gazing at the eyes of denizens attempting to aid her and ranting about a ‘beast.’ The sera in question then went into a seizure and threatened the life of Aspirant Astana, and predicted the downfall of both his Lordship Prince Boreas, and the castle Marrach as a whole.
Occurring simultaneously was the appearance of a green mist which resembled that seen at the demise of Master Davog. While this Chronicler prefers not to make assumptions, it is within the realm of possibility that these two event might be connected. As of this writing, sera Aislinn teeters on the edge of sanity.
This Chronicler apologises for any and all inaccuracies, and asks only to be informed of them so that he might correct them in a timely and efficient manner.
