The Cat Who Fell Down the Side of the Abyss

In Accordance to the Will of the Lord Chamberlain, and to be a service the Denizens of the Castle, I humbly submit to you the account about the cat who fell down through a door, and the gathering of items need for a rescue.

Ser Garrik and Ser Athos were in the pantry room of the Inner Bailey. Ser Garrik asked to have the door opened so he could examine the abyss below. The Royal Porter consented, and opened the door. A plain tabby cat also went to the edge, but the cat could not hang on and fell to his death. Ser Garrik estimated the cat must have fallen nearly sixty feet. Ser Athos told Ser Garrik that the door is used so cooks can throw out garbage accumulated in the kitchens.

Ser Garrik has asking various denizens for help to rescue the cat, so he may be reanimated by the Royal Necromancer. He is looking for anyone who might have rope, or anyone who would be willing have himself lowered in a bucket down to rescue the cat. The rescue might take place from the door where the cat fell, but more likely on the parapets of the Snow Tower, for reasons of safety.

This Chronicler humbly apologizes for any errors that may have been made in this post, and deeply thanks those who might point out such errors.

Sincerely Yours,

Assistant Chronicler Arian
