On the Matter of the Winds of Dark Intent

Good Denizens of Marrach;

In obedience to the will of the Lord Chamberlain, by request and with only the humblest hopes to prove of assistance to ye, the esteemed denizens of Marrach; I herewith scribe the mysterious occurence of certain events and of winds which were by most accounts felt throughout the castle on this even. It is this Chroniclers attempt to relay only those facts as known presently, and to update this Chronicle as news becomes available.

On the first note: Denizens were gathered in the Inner and Outer Bailey's as usual when a strange wind did blow forth; a seeming cold and dark wind sweeping through open court and inner hall alike. Carried on the subjectively fell wind, were barely audible sounds of a ritualistic chanting, in what is recognised by this Chronicler to seemingly be the tongue of Eme, and whose words I shall not reveal as is the nature of the language not to be inerrantly recorded. I have scribed of what I was abled, and should such have need of the words, contact me and I shall provide them with as much.

It was thusly remarked that perhaps a binding was taking place, a fact known to this Chronicler that there were no bindings scheduled at the time, and who greatly doubts that the Sorcerers wouldst ever let slip the hidden words of ritual to the open winds. A chime passed, and then again, the wind did blow with a further ferocity, and a dark presence was noted by all to be sensed within it. Again, words of a ritualistic nature could be heard. After perhaps another chime, the winds blew once more, and then stilled.

Progressing directly to the Inner Bailey, this Chronicler attempted to determine the nature of the winds, and to persue the meaning of the words within them. What can be revealed in part is as follows: Mention of binding of certain spirits for four suns; and a warning of the Sun growing Cold. This Chronicler is persuing the further meaning of it.

Seemingly and perhaps related are two further events. The theft of the Mistress Martina's choker which doth allow her to speak, and the murder of sera Airlia. With regards to both, details are at the moment uncertain.

As many have attributed curious things to this mysterious happening and the danger of a presence known as 'Alo' possibly ascribed to such, I herewith provide to you the barest details merely as a precaution for all denizens, and forswear to update this chronicle as I receive further information of it.

In addition, this Chronicler begs forgiveness on this day for any error in this missive regarding this incident, and beseeches any that should know of such to contact me personally that we might speak of it at once with absolute assurances of privacy as is deemed needful.

In service of the Lord Chamberlain,

Sorcha
Chronicler of the Court
