 Due to this stupid mistake of Tec's to charge player's, I'm now searching for a new role-playing game. Does anyone know of a game that is, of course, fun and cost-free? Please reply!:(

The move and the charges werent a stupid mistake. Yes you may have to stop playing because you cant pay for it, but otherwise youd have to stop playing because TEC would end and be no more. So really think about it before you call it stupid Cimalee;)

*mutters* This move was anything but a mistake!

Please reply? There's an old saying that I think applies here. "Look with your eyes and not with your mouth" And to translate that into a more modern cyber setting, get your lame butt outa here and use a search engine. If you'd thought this game was "of course, fun", you would have been clicking the vote buttons. *eyeshift*

I don't think I need to finish the logical progression of thought at this point.

I thought I answered you before Cimalee...but again.

IF TEC did not go PTP, there would be NO TEC.

I know first hand the stress of bringing a game PTP, and fortunately the whining and complaining on this end was much less, but come on now - do you think people that created the game which finally found a way to save it want it thrown in their face as a 'mistake'?

Come on, be a bit sensitive. So, you can't play. You, and a bunch of others. If you think your snide and disrespectful comments are going to make TEC go back to FTP, it won't. In fact, it makes people like me glad it went PTP because I won't have to listen to it.

We announced our ptp plans two months before it went into affect. We eventually came to the point of being rude and disprespectful BACK to those who cursed at us and complained.

So, after two months experience...

Thank you for playing TEC. We hope you find another game somewhere else. Now, go away. *wave*

Or something along those lines.

A quote "Due to this stupid mistake of Tec's to charge player's, I'm now searching for a new role-playing game."

Sorry m8 but people were just saying Why having to pay for TEC isnt a stupid mistake thus replying correctly.

Hey, remember when we had to vote and there was a list of other RPG's that TEC was going against? Ya ever consider trying some of those? :smirk:

You usually have to pay for those, but if you know a good one please tell me!

Evidently I gave you too much credit for intelligence. Totally my fault. Next time someone is dumb enough to ask an inappropriate question in ANOTHER games forums *mimics, "Hey This game is making stupid mistakes..where can I find another one?" * I'll take into consideration the lack of intelligence to do such a thing and adjust my reply.

(Any difficulties with large words can be looked up in the

Dictionary (http://www.dictionary.com) )

So now, let me complete what has been obvious to everyone else. IF you had bothered to click those VOTE buttons for "of course, fun" TEC you would see what the general gaming community thought was comparable to TEC. Certainly the gamestaff felt TEC was competitive enough with them at any rate. Haul your lazy butt over to their forums where your question is more appropriate . Why is it more appropriate at those two sites? Because they are all about answering your very question.

Now don't make me have to post this again and try to find smaller words. That just stretches my abilities and patience too far.

*Gives Cimalee an assisting kick to the exit*

Check out www.mudconnector.com for a huge list of MUDs. All the best ones are pay-for-play but there are hundreds of free ones.

Before I found TEC, the ONLY good RPGs were pay-to-play.

And the few big ones that aren't, and claim to be free, actually have hidden charges in them. As far as I know virtually all the MUDs on the top ten of TopMudsites require some form of forced 'donation'. Places like Threshold actually even hide the fact that a donation is required to play under layers, and layers of documentation. I played their a week before I heard some one complaining about the donation on their OOC channel, and waded through the documentation on it. If you don't donate, they won't let you advance beyond a certain level, they even post your characters name on a list of people who haven't paid yet *shudder*. Most MUDs now adays, and all of the big ones, are switching to PtP, or forced donations, personally PtP is a little more honest, and fair then forced donations(espicially those MUDs that give out IC skill increases for donations).
