Im using IE and I get a black skotos box then im redirected to a page and get : The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. And its a 404 not fount error, is TEC even up yet?

Can you give the URL of the page that returns that error and an idea of the process that you're going through to get to that point?

Thanks,

- Bruce

well i hit small screen at play now and it starts going to : tec.skotos.net/small.html and then in like a second it turns to tec.skotos.net/small.php3 and then it goes to skotos.net/user/login.php?redirect=http%3a%2f%2ftec%2eskotos%2enet %2fsmall%2ephp3 where the page is not found, (I had to take out the www because it kept shortening it and making it a url.)

I've made some changes to the login process on our side of things that should hopefully elimiate the looping problem, problems with not having cookies enabled, and with luck, maybe a couple of others as well.

I'm not seeing any 404 errors on the servers that I control. I've passed a request for help along to the Skotos side of the operation.

Try upgrading and making sure that you're using the latest service pack for IE as well as the latest Java stuff. That's fixed the problems that Jolee was having (the grey screen instead of the client loading). Using that same browser here on Win98, I have no problems accessing the game from IE.

Good luck,

- Bruce

Yep, I'm happy to say I'm back on IE again. Although Netscape was doing a good job of keeping me playing.

What happened in my case was I took the time during the move to update Windows. I updated IE 5.5 service pack and several other smaller things. The other night, my modem was acting goofy, so I did a system restore and basically cancelled out the upgrades. So, I started going through them one by one, and after downloading the upgrade for Microsoft Virtual Machine, I was able to load TEC completely.

Thanks to Bruce for helping me and trying different things. :)

I hope this might help others who've faced the same problems :)

If you are getting a 404 error or a page not found error, try installing this IE update:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/128bit/default.asp

With luck, that should fix that problem.
