I have heard that with the new trait system, that some characters have lowered sp gain in some skills. My main character is Aestivan. He was created over a year ago and chose knives as his weapon. I have heard that Aestivans will have lowerd sp gain on knives. Is this going to affect my character? If a GM could answer this for me I would be very thankful. I'm sure many other characters will be affected by this too, and would like to hear the answer.

I'm kinda curious as well how the restrictions on the pickpocketing skill(Neither Altene's nor Aestivan's can be them) will affect the horde of Altene thieves still in the game.

Lyrad, you think that's bad, my woody character is RP'd just like the Safeland's chargen opts for. She knows no fighting skills, lives an isolated life, coming into town to sell her torches, loves animals, feels uncomfortable around people. So what's the problem? When I was creating her I wanted anything other than an Altene or Iridinean. So..I picked Windward. And that is the one race that has the outdoor skills forbidden.

So... I'm wondering if I have to remake her or if I can get her race changed. Can we do that?

When a character cannot start with a certain skill (i.e. pickpocketing) because of his nationality, does that mean that he cannot learn it IG, ever? Or only that he cannot have it when beginning his life?

I believe it just means he can't start with it, since in addition to not allowing pickpocketing, both of those races have a decreased SP gain rate for that skill.

Will a GM please clarify this for us?

Thank you

Still waiting on an answer. *eyeshift* Or if it's been answered in another thread, could someone point me to it?

Thanks.

This is what happens when you ask questions and GM's don't like you *eyeshift*
