First of all, GMs, thanks for the pets! They are so cute and so much fun to watch! I sat at my computer and laughed as I watched them do such realistic, lifelike things. As a pet owner IRL, I love it!
Now to the point of my post. I ask here that the owners use some courtesy when doing things with your pets. As Andrew said, I hope you leave your pet outside when shopping. With the 'stay' or 'sit' command that should be easy.
I'd also hope that during events, especially during one of a combat nature, that you would leave your pet at home. They do cute things, but the screen scrolls by fast enough and forty dogs adding to the activity will make for more chaos. Not to mention, put your pet in danger. :(
I know I'll be flamed for this, but please think about it carefully.
Have fun and BE KIND TO YOUR PETS! :)

well, at the moment, I'd leave the dog, but it won't stay.
when I tell it to sit, it shows that the dog lies down, but you look and it's still standing and still following you...
Once it's fixed though, I'll be leaving the dog outside. :D
Have fun and PLEASE people respect other's dogs.

For now, stay and sit dont work, but hopes when it became to work ther are kennels in Iridine to hold our pets when we dont want them to tag along (like the stables for the horses).
And about battles... darn, i will train my dog to became an wardog... sure i will take it to battles when possible...:

disband, good idea. :D
disband does work. I tried it. Thanks for that :)
Tarsos was having trouble with his dog, it was a laugh. It got lazy on him, lay down, and wouldn't move.
if anyone sees Arfie, give her a hug and pat for me. :D

Could even move him to a safe place and had to wait him to rest a bit to move him again...

Good God, no. First of all, it's incredibly unrealistic. Despite the dog you saw in Gladiator, it ain't gonna work. (Well it might...for a couple minutes). The only time an animal would actually be effective in combat would be in a very small fight (And that's hard to code...otherwise all these Nelsor fighters would be dead if they tried jumping around when facing three or four opponents.;) ). Two, it's just not something you want to get into...ever play a D&D game where everyone's animals did more damage than the humans?
I think the pets are a great addition to the game...But I certainly hope that's what they stay as. Hunting dogs, yes. Bears that go around slaying Cinerans, no.
