Try Out: Droid Arena

Folks,

Our newest Skotos Game, Droid Arena, is now available for play just in time to join the new season.

If you'd like to try it out, please visit:

Once you click through, you'll be asked to choose a character name and then will be sent straight into the game. Click INFORMATION then NEW PLAYER GUIDE for how to get started.

Droid Arena is a game of droid arena combat, where you build, then program your robot.

If there are any problems, let me know here. We'll be doing a full release of the game, linking it to the site, in just a couple of days.

It never occured to me to suggest a game like that for Skotos... that's awesome! I can't wait to see if it's any good. ;)

The fine folks at DA2 approached us. I think the game is somewhat different in style from existing offerings, being much more centered around programmatic issues rather than strategic, but I liked the design and was thus quite happy to give it a try.

I think the variation in style is very much a good thing, it diversifies, but I think it's fairly well in line so that it's not too alien. It fits in with Hegemony and Space Federation well, I think.

EDIT: Salute to them for approaching Skotos. :)

I'm also a visitor from the Droidarena world :D All I can say is come along and have a go, and you'll soon be hooked!

In the meantime I'm going to take a look around your site - it looks like you have some pretty cool games that you participate in.

Hello out there, I am Webbed, one of the Administrators of DroidArena, i've noticed quite a number of you getting into the game at least, it would be nice to get some feedback on your experience, good or bad. *sigh* Yeah, so my login has become a problem yet again. CE contacted me to let me know they found a problem and thought it was fixed, but when I tried again today I was still having troubles. Sent in an email to the Droid arena so I'm waiting.

Sorry Droid programmer folks, I didn't mean to pick such an annoyingly long login.

Not a problem at all Hannah. We thought we had all the fields adjusted to handle the longer names but this exposed that we missed one or two of them initially.

You should now be able to setup the account without further problems and we thank you for the understanding and working with us to resolve this issue.

All I can say. Bravo Zulu. The visual playback option is great for killing time, and adds a certain appeal to the game. I'm barely starting to get ito the covert ops options, but I feel I'll not be dissappointed. I'd really love to see more work from these people, and offer up my sincerest thanks for the enjoyment.
