Ive been noticing this small problem. Im a terrin, I like comercial infastructure, im a A miner I like housing... if I captured a nice planet or cluster from one race or the other Ill get something that's only really helpful to that race. Sure there is some overlap, but its really painful to see a 8000 land C2 filled with houses, demolish them to build comercial, then lose it to the guy you took it from (who then sends you a few colorful words thanking you for building comercial)... capture it back later? its gona have houses again. (if he wasnt being lazy)

I think there should be more overlap for conquest sake. Ive been playing as each race, and marauders LOVE those Aminer planets cause they can be plundered quick for lots of cash.

so what can be done? Well I have an idea... how about making industry more valuble. up the good sales rate to 10 credits per good (thus doubling the profit from selling goods). this will encourage more industry, which both races can use. Also... say there might be a loyalty bonus for providing your colonists needs? for every ... lets say 10 turns that your colonists get the goods they demand the loyalty of the colony goes up 1. maybe that's a little too slow... or fast... 5 turns then it goes up 1? 20?

its ether that or make ore easier to get... maybe when you demolish all that housing you get 90% of the ore back.

I think this would make interspecies warfare easier. What do you all think?

will consider increasing revenue from goods to 10. will try this out on the up coming experimental/beta server for ver 1.04
