...the RSL bonuses of different equipment stack? How much are the RSL bonuses and how do I find this information out?

Having already read the Manual and the New Players Guide, I'm a little confused on where to go next for information.

On the ledft sidebar go to Global Chat and click on it. Accept the certificate and once you are there type:

/j #rsl in the dialogue box and hit enter.

This should take you to the RSL help chat room. Zappy and Vern are pretty good about answering all the questions. :)

I did get some help from the global channel, and just in case anyone else wonders the same kinds of things, RSL bonuses awarded by equipment only determine whether or not you can use those RSL commands in your scripts.

CP is used mainly for repairing your droid.

It's best to focus your building upgrade points on research if you're a loner.

And make sure and train those protection agents.

The RSL bonus aren't really bonus as such, but rather the set of RSL commands that come with a particular piece of equipment (mostly processors, radios & radars).

As you advance in level in the game you get access to more advanced equipment which has all the old commands you had available plus new additions to them. The full explaination of RSL commands can be found in the RSL Manual under the HELP heading in the Menu on the left side of the screen. This will not however give you the level at which they become available to you (at least not at this time), you can generally find that information by going to Fuwarez.org under the Terminal heading and looking at the various equipment in the digipad to get the infomation you want. To get the digipad click on the equipment items name and it will bring up the digipad (our online help system) with the information on that item.

You can also find the information on the current equipment you have at the bottom of the hanger screen, and in the Script Library. Both places will link into the RSL manual if you click on any of the commands listed there.

For someone who has never coded a single solitary thing in her life, it made my understanding of RSL, my scripting and the game so lovely. THANK YOU!

I look forward to trying out things as I progress up the level ladder this time around, and really taking my time understanding and using every bit that I can. I never would have thought that trying to second guess opponents and predict possible scenarios to code a solution could be so entertaining -- but it is. :D

I must interject here that the bbrsl function isnt perfect. It was intended to allow a player to get their feet wet with a more player-friendly introduction into script writing and allows viable scripts up to level 8. there are a few flaws in the implementation, however, and most of these have been explored and discussed at length the mnet forums of the game.
To anyone who has asked for help in the new players channel or the rsl channel and was met with silence: although the game's playerbase is global, the people available for helping do at times require sleep or have their attentions diverted. To this end, we are taking steps to respond quicker when questions or problems arise. If you have an immediate need, feel free to private message a channel operator or game administrator in the droidarena irc network for the most rapid and thorough response and/or resolution to any problems.

second edit: i have a severely edited text version of the rsl manual, which, at 17k, very much lends itself as a portable tutorial for when those scripting urges arise and youre away from the game.
I'd be more than happy to email or dcc a copy to anyone who game mails me or catches me in irc. If theres enough new requests for it, i'll host it and put a link in this thread, but from past experience only a handful of players have asked for it since rsl was brought into the game.
