is there a way to get married other than paying 2000sp??? Seeing as I only have about 500 sp and she has about the same level, we still need to wait a few months to get married! Is there some other way????

Rp's not sp
Don't save sp's, save RP's.
*nods* Unless that's what you meant...

Well the 2k RPs I believe is just for a nice official marriage... (I also think the cost is split among the 2 people getting married, so it would be 1k each)
You could still RP out the marriage as normal until you get the RPs to do so, it just wouldn't be official....no rules saying you can't (is there?) and can't see why it would be OOC to do so.

Constable weddings don't cost RPs right?

eh, with 2000 RPs you get the whole cerimony, with certificate to make it nice and proper. it's like being married in a courthouse or being married in a church. *shrug*

The cost for weddings can be split among the two people and you get an official wedding done with a priest, you get a certificate and all, but what do ya think the chances are that you'll be able to have one done very soon? When my character was wanting to get an 'official' wedding, I was told we'd be put on a waiting list and that the GMs are rather busy so it wouldn't be anytime soon that it'd be done. It'd be nice where we could have weddings done by players and they could still be official. Bring back the Acolytes and when they become priests, give them the ability to do weddings would be a nice start I think towards that.

Holypaladin, I hear ya. Soren's player and I requested one well over a year ago, and were put on the waiting list. I would like to know if the list still exists. I'd also like to know if the the cost of 1000 RPs will be honored since that was the cost listed at the time we submitted our request.
I know the price increase was to discourage the number of requests, but I think if the couples who submitted their requests way back when are still together (thereby demonstrating stability) then they shouldn't be charged the higher cost.
