Story time!

Once upon a time.. in the great land of Uthgol.. a bunch of the bigger tiers thought they'd have a little competition. They all thought of fighting but they'd figured they'd done enough of that already. So they finally decided since it was in the fall time of the Uthgol season that they'd have a leaf raking competition. True it wasn't bloody.. or fierce or anything, but it was still a competition.

The competitors who decided to join the race were:

Jinn, The Rogue Dragon
Cedextra, The Monstrous Giant
Mythras, The Everchanging Rahksha
and
Dasren, The Goliath Dracolich.

Now. Here's what happens. See.. Scarabs are actually very inate at counting leaves. So we've got a few scarabs to count up the leaves for each of the competitors. Each one has been told to count exactically. No bribery or anything. Those that did.. would have to live forever.. *cackles* Wait.. that's a bad thing... with Drake! Mwuhaha! :p (Cheap shots) Ooo...

They will begin at the shrine and that will stretch outwards. The reward is prestige and maybe a magical item or two. ;) But since the writer is on a budget you'll probably get a pat on the back. :p

Anyway!..

The contest has began! The scarabs have taken thier marks and the monsters have already set on to go with thier leave activities!

Let's check up on Jinn shall we?

Ah.. I see... Jinn is using his cold breathing abilities to move the leaves around with quite a bit of ease. Some off the leaves seem to be freezing and breaking apart though. That'll cost him some precious leaves.

Let's see what Cedextra is doing... What's that in his hands? *gasps* It's the Rahksha! He's transformed himself into what the humans call a rake! Seems Ced is having a bit of trouble using it though.. we'll check back with him later.

Now what about Dasren? Very clever! He's using his skeletal body to hold the leaves within himself! This should make carrying the leaves much much easier! Raking them in and then carrying them around! It seems that some leaves like to fall out though.. oh it appears that each party will seem to have to work out these flaws..

But wait! The Rahksha is walking around as a tiger again! I thought I heard some complaining.. apparently the Rahksha was complaining that Ced was trying to break him in half! *tisks* Well Ced has now adopted a pick up as many leaves as possible version while the Rahksha is attempted different shapes.

It's gonna be a close race folks

A blackened figure resides in the very middle of this picture. He is standing tall with his arms are far outstretched and his head leaned back. He seems to be wearing nothing more than a suit of leather on his wiry frame. Your eyes glimpse to above the man's head in what appears to be a large mist shooting up from his mouth. It has already started part of it's decent, and has already started to mist the top of the man's tunic and face. The cobblestones under the mans feet are cracked and stained, showing many a fighter has walked out weary from thier fight within. Glad to be walking out at all.
Through the mists you can see the walls of the colosseum. They stretch high above the man's head. Thier circular form spreading itself far outwards throughout to the sides of the picture. The tops of the colosseum have been curved downward and figures have been mounted onto them. You gaze across them looking at each one from the far left to the far right. Each of them is a warrior. Facing downwards towards the colosseum entrance holding a different type of weapon.
The far left one is a broad man standing tall, his head held high and a stave held across his body. His stave has been capped from what you can tell, the middle is also chipped and warn from what you guess is from many a long and tiring fight. He also has a large scar stretching from eye to lower cheek, however, it's not dark resembling a scar from long ago.
The next is of a man of a very bulky frame. He like the first one is standing tall, the same crest as the first residing on his head as well. In his left hand you can see the image of an oval shaped shield. It has many scraped and scratches on it, but it still remains intact. In his right hand is a mace of rather large proportions. It stands half as tall as the man himself and the head of it bigger than his own.
The next is a rather slender woman. Her features have been elequently designed and her long black hiar falls downwards across her body, covering most of her. In her left hand she bears a rounded shield. Unlike the other one the sides of it appear to have been chipped and cracked indicating heavy usage on it's part. In her right hand is a long and braided whip of leather. It is uncoiled and falls in a gentle winding motion towards the ground.
This other figure is another broad man. His head bears no crest and his hair has disappeared. You can see what seems to be the start of a scar at the front of his forehead in a curving motion backwards. His neck is also bare and has a very dark color to it indicating a near fatal wound. In one of his hands he is holding a tucheon trident. It's three spikes pointed high into the air.
The middle figure is that of a rather muscular gladiator. He is wearing only a pair of leather breeches and a pair of soldier boots. He appears to have a large scar going across his chest. He seems to be the tallest of the figures and his gaze is towards the man in the center, his mouth closed and bearing a silent hatred. His gladius is pointing straight at at the man in the center and appears that it could very well fall through him at any point.
To the right of him is a fairly armored man. Unlike the others, his armor seems to be a bit fancier than most. Little beads adorn the leathery tunic and breeches. His boots also seem to have some sort of design. His arms are crossed across his chest and end in a pair of cestus. Both are entangled with many sharp spikes that flow evenly across them.
Another woman resides here. Her hair has been cut short and the shades of brown fall softly onto the shoulders. She's a bit shorter than most of the other figures. Her right hand bears a rounded shield much like the other but only the lower end of it is scratched, showing it's point of use. In her other hand is a dagger. It seems to be held firmly in her grasp, and markings stray up and down the center of the blade to faint to make out.
This man is a very thin man of sorts. His armor is even less than that of those around him. He certaintly doesn't look like anyone who'd want to be in the arena, but his face shows that he has had his share of up close battles inside the walls. He is holding a bow in both hands. His arm is reared backwards and the arrow planted in the tension of twine is focused on the man in the center.
This man is a very broad man it appears from his body. He is heavily armored unlike the rest of the figures. His suit is not of leather but of a slicker surface. He is holding a large axe in both of his hands in a chopping motion aimed far left. The axe is the size of the man itself almost looking to topple him over if he where to swing it wrong. The mans gaze and body is turned, however, not gazing on the man but to the center of the arena.
It is signed at the bottom, "Signed: The Grinner."

Although I understand your reasoning, but by implimenting your suggestion not
only would focus and Koncentrate become basically the same ability with
different names, but it would allow humanoids yet another way to increase
their damage whereas they already have one. The Focus ability was implimented
in part to try to help the balance issue for mages, and by adding the affect
to koncentrate as well would negate that effect.
