If you don't know, I happen to play an Enhancement spec Tauren Shaman. I was able to rival rogue DPS in Hyjal and BT. Not sure what I'm capable of now, but no matter how good I am, nobody believes Shaman can actually be amazing. So I don't even bother to play.

That's where being a guild leader has it's advantages =p

New main's a DK. I rolled on my real life best friend's server and he also plays a prot warrior so it seemed rather redundant to transfer mine over; figured I'd give the new class a shot and I actually really enjoy it. You and everyone else lol. I die a little inside when I join a H OS pug that has 9 DK's in it. That and the class can effectively lock down my ele shaman more than even rogues and arcane mages can, which I didn't think I was possible till WotLK arrived. There was a time when I enjoyed pvp on her =p

Well, it's easy to generalize with DKs. The vast majority of them are terrible, yes. Any chimp can faceroll on a DK and do alright. The thing I like about them though is that it takes skill to play them well. Two resources to manage - Runes and Runic Power, knowing what stats to value for your spec (hint, DKs have both spells and melee attacks, therefore needing to know both spell and melee hit caps, ratios, etc), among other things. There's a lot more to them than most realize.

Once they throw out the sweeping nerfs to the class (because they are, admittedly, OP as hell at the moment) all the flavor of the month rerolls will go back to whatever they were playing or is OP at the time and you'll be left with the persistant bad DKs and the skilled ones.

If I had my way I'd still be playing my warrior but my friend was the established one on the server and I'm not DPSing full-time on my warrior, sooooooo, reroll.

As for PvP now, it's a joke. If you can spam your nuke, you win. Grats. WTB Seasons two and three again. Even if it was just warrior/druid and LoS games, it was more balanced than the mess it is now.

And for your warrior, you're not crit-immune. Get to 540 defense above all, either through gear or gems. Also not required to match every socket bonus, most aren't even worth it as a tank. No comment on the shaman since casters bore me.

They def have a lot of tools at their disposal which would definately lean more towards a more dynamic and skill based playstyle once they get hit with teh aforementioned nerfs, just saddened me a bit when half my officers I leveled with through BC rerolled to DKs and have no intention of going back. Still think mages take a lot more skill to play effective though =p And yeah, wtb S3 again. Season rocked.

Enhance Shaman are also this way. Shock damage is an important part of our DPS. Also using Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning when we get Maelstrom Weapon charges.

I'm pretty sure retribution paladins are this way, too, but I'm not entirely sure.
