I would be very interested in taking part in your Beta test next week, or thereafter. Is there any way to fill out the survey, from which you will be picking the players?

Indeed! Even though I was working in the booth at the con, I neglected to actually fill out one of the invitation cards and drop it in the box. D'oh!

Of course, I could always just peer over my spouse's shoulder while she's beta-testing (helps to be married to one of the developers http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif ), but I'd kind of like to have my own account.

I'd be interested albeit I wasn't at GenCon.

Hi there,

The major purpose of the closed beta is to regulate how many people we have online in the Castle at any given time. We want to give GenCon atendees who signed up exclusive access to the Castle initially as a thank you for their time and support at our GenCon Booth.

After the initial GenCon invitees [people who had to endure my schpeal] have joined us, we will then open the test to those who have signed up on our site. Online beta is currently scheduled to occur about a week after the initial closed beta starts. That should give you plenty of time to kick around at 'the beginning' before the crowds. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gifAbout three weeks after online beta testers are invited, our open beta test is scheduled to begin and willl be available to everyone.

We intend to have an online beta sign up form up on the site by end of next week. Hope you will sign up!

We had only opened the Beta Test invitation to people we met while at GenCon, but it is great to see your interest.

Are there more people out there interested in taking part in the Castle Marrach Beta Test that starts in late September?

My husband & I both signed up at GenCon. Is there anyway to help the chances that we both can beta test?

I also mentioned when I was signing up, that I had some friends who I have on-line gamed w/ for over a year, who would be interested in beta-testing this new platform. I was told that they could test w/ me. How would I get them into the data-base for testing?

Thanks.

Chris W, Buggy & Valkry,

Between all the postings and email responses we received from interested would be partcipants - you all definitely will be able to sign up for the closed online beta test that should occur one week after the GenCon players begin their testing. Like the GenCon players, people who sign up online will begin their beta by arrangement -- we'll let you know when you can sign on.
But once you join, you can come back anytime you want. This should mean that you can join up with your friends, and unlike many beta tests, you won't be segregated from them.

While anyone can sign up on the site, we will not be announcing to the world (media) that there is an open beta, so it should keep the numbers down to a select few. Here's how the schedule will work:

After the initial GenCon invitees have come on board (starting September 21st, with everyone who's signed up on board by September 28th), we will open the test to those who have signed up on our website. Online beta is currently scheduled to occur about a week after the initial closed beta starts, in or about October 1st.. Then, about three weeks after online beta testers are invited, [around October 21st] our open beta test is scheduled to begin and will be available to everyone.

So, if you or your friends would like to join us in beta for Castle Marrach, and you would prefer to get in and try to discover some of the secrets before the crowds come in http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif, look for our beta sign up form to be up on the website by the end of this week - if not sooner!

I've been ill lately so I haven't been able to log on line for the past week. (I ate some bad manor eggs) Is it too late to sign up for the beta? You can find me in the north east part of the village...

Thanks

FatherAidan,

Sorry to hear you've been feeling poorly, we here at Skotos will learn from your pain and avoid the manor eggs. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

As for your question, I'm sure that had you been fully healthy and on top of your game you would have noticed that Sariel answered this very question one post before yours. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif
