Hi all. My article is back, but will be monthly instead of biweekly.
Meanwhile...
I started off my latest article with a statement: "So you want to be an oppressor?" Was this fair? Does a government ruled by a religion necessarily lead to oppressive governance?
Mike.
I'll be brief...
As far as history is concerned it seems to be the likely pattern. The thing about religious governmental policies is that religion always stands to acquire a great deal of wealth, and thus power. And I hate to be cliche, but power corrupts and absolutely power corrupts absolutely.
All people progress spiritually at different paces, thus those striving in their early stages of development are proverbial sitting ducks to any religious figure they behold as a mentor. Seems to simply be people taking advantage of eachother.
I suppose that may be oppinionated but I decided studying for my final warrented more citations.

It's fair. I don't really feel like digressing though. I'll just end up ranting about Bush and Cheney letting their religious beliefs affect some of their domestic policies. It's best to simply say that I didn't disagree with anything in your article.
