In a galaxy far far away, Sepiriz calls a meeting of the Sepiri High Council to mull over options for the conquest of the recently discovered galactic region known only as 724.

An odd galaxy with an unfamiliar stellar constellation suggests radical attack strategies may be required. Sepiriz tasks the recently much under utilised Sepiri Department of Forward Planning with providing attack options for the anticipated coming campaign.

Initial intelligence suggests that there are a number of other races that have been encountered in previous galaxies that may require the 'special' attention of the Sepiri War Fleets. (Sepiriz wonders how many references to Sci-fi movies it is possible to drop into a single forum post – the gauntlet has been laid down!).

Long ago a fleet of Skimmeian vessels travelled to a galaxy far, far away to boldly go where none had gone before, but were soon lost in space...

(Three in a sentence)

After destroying a space station orbiting an unknown Forest moon (We all know the rebels couldn't do it alone), They moved on to a world where clones were hunted down and shot. Deciding that this was as good a past-time as any, they joined in. Unfortunately when they tried to leave, a gas-drone from an alien race forced them to stay, and only now have they shown their strength.

(that's six so far... wanna try more?)

We have an early leader in the form of the challenger from down under however, abiding strictly by the rules as set out by the Sepiri Gaming Committee, that of course only the Sepiri High Council have access to, a point has been disallowed as the reference has already been used once. :p

That said the Skimmer comfortably takes the lead with 5.

That said, the gaunlet has been passed from Northern to Southern hemisphere...where is the great Kazakian one wonders, surley KMDC must have a full stock of references in their vast arsenal ;)

Can't have that. Skimmer won the last BBQ championship! Be unfair of him to win more than 1 contest. So here goes my entry:

KMDC scientists have been pursuing research into alternate dimensional travel forms, however Improbable, because of the blockade of enemy forces that made conventional travel impossible in galaxy 719. Rapid advances in computer modeling capabilities—including the systems knows as Colossus, Guardian, Skynet, H.A.R.L.I.E., M5, and Deep Thought—were the first necessary steps for the Foundation. They culminated in a new, classified Transcendence Computing referred to only as the Singularity. Project Phoenix, lead by the noted theoretical physicist Krell, has been successful! His words on discovery were:

“It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge.”

A rag-tag fugitive fleet of KMDC vessels has set sail with this new technology for the promised land!

They have just arrived in Gamma Hydra, section 10—an area of galaxy 724. It remains to be seen if this will be the other side of paradise. Will this be another galaxy of war, or our last, best hope for peace?

Klaatu, a special KMDC media spokesman for the event, said “I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” as the fleet made its transit.

But so far, things have been proceeding mostly as normal in the new galaxy, with one major exception. Astrographers have been very curious about Aspen—“that’s not a homeworld, it’s a space station!” Military analysts are apprehensive about Aspen’s capabilities, and worried that its construction signalled definitive evidence of hostile intent towards the galaxy.

Klaatu attempted to alleviate these fears, however, stating that “The power of this station is insignificant next to the power of the [KMDC Space] Force.”

Intelligence specialist Kithras has dropped from public view, but government officials have refused comment. Carter Burke, a mid-level corporate manager, tracked some governmental accounting, and announced that Kithras was likely occupied with a reorganization of portions of the various KMDC intelligence branches, now to be called Special Circumstances.

Mr. Burke, asked about his own background, had only this to say: “I work for the Company. But don’t let that fool you, I’m really an okay guy!”

General Hammer, currently on suspension for insubordination and on enforced leave, is not expected to arrive for 4 more days here. His only comment on that issue was “I’ll be back!”

I protest the disallowal, you only said far, far away, I also said long, long ago.;)

But I think I may have to admit defeat, stand by for a possible future answer...

Watch this space.

Flash sat in the cockpit of his Zoid, watching the Rapier fighter fly by as it flew back to the TCS Tiger's Claw. Gently he flicked the metallic dice hanging from the rear view mirror as he turned back to the mountain of fur pulling the arms out of a golden droid that had just beaten him in Sabaac. He had been hired on by this old fogey to fly a ship to the peaceful planet of Skimme, but, as usual, he expected it to be blown out of space by a DP before he arrived.

Surely the evil Psychlos would have had enough by now, but still Jabba the Slut was chasing him after his Kessel run (which he completed in record time), for the 12,400 credit cost of the spice lost when he was boarded. The green muppet that the passengers had brought along was no use, always muttering things like, "Be blown out of the sky we will," and "This little one here is going to slaughter us all like the bad guy in a B film."

There's more if needed, but I can count 15 there.

...and, it appears, that Skimmer has admitted defeat on this topic, as it has been pointed out that his last entry of 15 was well short of the material earlier submitted, yet no further entries have been received.

General Hammer has been busy drilling and preparing the KMDC Space Force since his return from recent leave. Today, nearly half the fleet practiced mock planetary assault campaigns on the homeworld. The population was impressed with the overflights and live fire exercises.

Oddly, Admiral Karan, who normally runs the opposing force, was not in evidence. Some of our more experienced analysts were a little taken aback at the success of the attacking force, but were divided on their opinions as to whether it was due to lack of equal command experience on the defending side, or the application of some unorthodox tactics by the attackers.

On a lighter note, some society news. It appears that there's been some private conflict in the Imperial household. While details are not known, Emperor Kazak's mother in law was last seen several days ago, carrying a battle axe and striding from the private estate in the mountains, looking very grim indeed. She has not been seen in public since. No one is sure where she went to, nor what the nature of the disagreement must have been. The family has, as usual, made no public comment on any possible tensions. Speculation...
