This post is similar to Erica's (Arrion's) IC vs OOC post, but I felt it deserved a new category.

I play Philo, and I'm sure that many of your characters have heard the controversy behind what happened between Philo and Anastacia.

Some players expressed concern (OOC) that I, the player, may have used poor judgement. I hope that Anastacia's player will back me up on this, but Anastacia's player and I, as players, both fully consented to everything that occurred.

I'll let each of your characters judge for themselves whether to believe Philo or Anastacia (pick Philo), but please don't judge me the player.

Ehehe..

Well said. I have no problem for anything if both players are conseting freely and without concern.

Now then.. pass me that sword..yes that one.. excuse me.. has anyone seen the Watchmen Philo? >=)~

Just to back this up, as one of the characters running around in a frothing fury, this is an IC thing. Before Matrel lost it, I made sure with Anastacia OOC what she was saying and that this was all IC stuff.

I commend Monkey for the role-playing, even while Martel seeths angerly at his lack of honor.

As the third member of the Arrion, Martel, Brahm triad, I want to let Philo know OOC: Good Job, I commend you for excellent roleplay, and I was certain that the scene you played out was agreed upon by you both.
IC: Watch your step Watchman Philo, We will be. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

I too would like to say that all things said or done in the game are hearby, always considered to be forward to the fun of the game, and furthermore, if anything I say offends you personally, please bring it up with me, by whispering to me, and start the whisper ooc... Well anyways, thats my blabber, and *IC - Why would I want to talk to you people anyways.. Goodbye!*

Ehe.. *punts Retribution* .. erm.. no wait.. IC thoughts.. IC thoughts :P (j/k)

I think it is becomgin obvious but maybe we need to actually SAY it. If its IC, then deal with it as such. I dont' think there is any one palyer here that I wouldn't tell in an OOC matter either in the OOC text or in a whisper begingin with OOC if I was uncomforatable with anything occuring. As posted earlier, its our right and I'l dlike to add, our responsibility to say when too much is too much. If you don't think you can speak to the player then address the StoryHosts with the ASSIST command. They are here to help us in that regard as well.

I think we are becoming a touch paranoid about how we are observed in character. just rememebr thats what we are here to do. Role-play.

If nothing else, this is an interesting discussion thread. IC perceptions vs the OOC player's perceptions. Anyone up for it? http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif I'd suggest a new thread if anyone is. (Unless there are no objections that is, I feel this is a good group to discuss such a topic with)

Greetings all! Glad to be a part of this. Some of you may know me as the gangly scholar, Benedict.

I think it speaks well for our Beta-test population that everyone is concerned about IC experiences spilling bad feelings and emotion into our OOC lives. Castle Marrach seems to lend itself for melodrama, so I've found my character already led by strong emotions. (Someone spied Benedict embracing Sera Kiera just before she ran off -- within an hour she was in the arms of another man!) At least for me, this is all great fun and I'm smiling even as poor Benedict displays pain and regret at the sight of Kiera.

I think we shouldn't walk on eggshells IC -- we should play it up! If there is concern that we are being misunderstood, then make a quick OOC comment to let everyone know where you're coming from. But for the most part, I say don't break the mood!

Thanks for a fun first night in the Castle. I'll most certainly be around...
