If you see email like this, it's a virus. Do NOT open the attachment:

From: administration@skotos.net
Date: February 15, 2003 8:09:20 AM PST
To: YOU@users.skotos.net
Subject: E-mail account security warning.

Dear user of e-mail server "Skotos.net",

Your e-mail account has been temporary disabled because of
unauthorized access.

For further details see the attach.

The Management,
The Skotos.net team
http://www.skotos.net

This is one of the more clever viruses going around, because it matches up your email address with a from address that looks administrative and also uses that address throughout the message.

The email is not originating from Skotos, but rather from some home machine where someone happens to have your email address on file.

In general, Skotos will not send you attachments, especially not for administrative issues, and you should never open attachments unless you know exactly what they are.

If you're curious for more info, it's called the Bagel.J or Beagle.J virus, and there's a longer description here:
