View Full Version : Still having trouble with scrolls, and making eneimes

I've asked this question many times, and many people have helped me with it. But I'm still having trouble with scrolls. This is just as annoying to me as it is to all of you, and I appologize to one and all here and now for being more than just 'slow' to grasp this subject--eventhought, right now, I have Atama's guide in laser-print hardcopy right next to me.
So, one more time--like a check list. I hope I get it right this time.
And then there's my 'lack of a soft touch'. As stated before, I'm new to MUD's and don't have a ready list of actions with me--plus I haft to look at the keyboard when I type. But still today, I managed to be 'cursed' with the dreaded 'foot-in-mouth' curse and boy did I get a few people bent outa shape.
All I ask is that all of you please be mindful of my limitations.

thank you

Jayland

Well, I'll give a pass at scrolls as well.

To get a scroll:
ask courier for scroll

To address a scroll:
address my first scroll to "Martel

To sign a scroll:
sign my first scroll "Your servant,

To write on a scroll:
write on my first scroll "You are a golden god

To give a scroll back to a courier:
offer my first scroll to courier

That should cover it. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif (Note: All comments in here address a sad in joke. Thats all. But the commands should give you the right form to follow.

As for foot in mouth, all I can suggest is being polite and not pushy. I think you've only briefly met Martel, but if you have questions, seek me out. I'm both a Awakener and a Duelist, so tend to be a helpfull person if I'm not trying to keep a loved one from doing something silly.

Thanks. I'll give it a wrill just as soon as I can get a hard copy of it.
As for politeness, I'm going to draw up a list of adverbs (i.e. verbal discriptions)that Jayland can use to express himself better (right now, he sounds like badly dubbed anime--no wonder why he drives people away). But being the one most likely to be alone at any party, I'm working with a BIG handicap.
But that's no excuse not to try.

Badly dubbed anime? Ugh! I hope you don't mean like Project A-Ko... I'm surprised Jayland is still alive. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif

Badly dubbed anime? Aren't we being a little redundant? (Sorry, I hate anime.)

P.S. You don't actually have to write so much. If you only have one scroll, then you can type "write on scroll", just s'long's you're holding it. (etc.) If you have more than one, be careful. That's bad business. If you're holding a scroll that someone sent you that you don't want to lose, put it in your room as quickly as possible. Otherwise you may forget how many you have and write over it. (That almost happened to me, once) Good luck!

It seems to be Jayland's luck to suffer all matter of inconvenances triple-fold.
As for badly dubbed anime, that will include about 99% of the dubbed stuff out there--most notoriously Ranma 1/2 and whatever gets hacked up by both the Cartoon Network and the Sci-Fi Channel. I prefer my anime subtitled and uncut.
