Assume that two characters in the game get married, and the female partner gives birth to a child. Obviously the child was not awakened, so what would he/she be?New life in the castle of the risen dead?An oddity?

Actually, since we were raised by a necromacer, it would seem that we are all undead. And whose ever heard of two zombies making a baby? I'm pretty sure that it'll never become an issue.

We aren't undead in any normal sense of the word, however. We are neither mindless, nor cold, nor tied to magic or emotion.

It will never be an issue, I'm sure, as no woman will ever bother to RP nine months of pregnancy, but its still an interesting thought.

The Queen does have a son, although neither she nor her consort is awakened like the rest of it. At the beginning of the game, a young girl wheels you into your room, perhaps the daughter of the Necromancer?

I don't think Lith is Getheaht's daughter. She calls him her Master and stuff when I talk to her. I'm sure she's only her apprentice.

And Lith isn't from the castle. She came here from somewhere else thousands of years ago, but didn't tel me how, or from where.

And don't be sure about not RPing pregnancy... I bet that many players would fight over who gets to do it. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

In my conversations to CE over this, I was told no pregnency. Not sure if its not wanting to deal, no system support, or a castle thing, but that was what I was told.

Pregnancy is a mystery of the Castle presumably you may believe that a character should be able to become pregnant (assuming the character fits all the important criteria - being female the most primary), in fact we've even had some players who have subtly ventured to behave pregnant only to be told when examined that they weren't....

We look forward to seeing players RP and get to the bottom of this mystery in the days ahead...

More reasons for both of my alter egos to search about the myteries.Generally speaking, my character thinks its of a dark intention of the Queen. Of course, he won't say it but he'll subtly search for any organization opposed to the Queen, however dark it may be.

Although this early in the game, characters impregnated so far is unlikely to show significant signs of pregnancy and can probably hide it if they want to.

Avenger, even if there aren't any groups opposed to the Queen, you could start one. And from what I've heard, there are plenty of secret guilds, try to find out about them, and what they do.
And if your character finds or starts one, please have him (him, right?) let Aeriale know, k? http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif

About the pregnancy thing - first of all - one reason not to have it would be - will you RP the conception part? Especially if one or both parties is uncomfortable with it. And, who would play the child? That was something else I'd thought of.

Anyway, random thoughts.

I have been playing MUDs for a long time. And one thing I have learned... those kinds of RP are VERY common. (As a matter of fact, I am no stranger to them myself...)

No, Avenger. He's RP'ed the *conception*, not the pregnancy.
