Hey all,

Wanted to briefly address something new that you might notice when you log on or off Castle Marrach.

If you log off Castle Marrach at any location and return within two hours you will reappear at that location. But if you are gone longer than two hours, you will (or should!) reappear back in your own room when you next log in.

We did this for a couple reasons one was to help with the general continuity in RP in the castle. Nothing like an intense scene in the Cupola between you and someone where words and emotions are moving to a paramount when "Bamf!" - somebody appears from seemingly no where. While this can be a lot of fun to RP, it can also make it harder to continue (especially if 6 people start dropping in around the same time). Equally frustrating is if you are in a room that has a locked door and someone suddenly appears - it can make locking a door feel fairly useless.

While this solution won't solve either of these examples completely, we do feel it is a step in the right direction. Hope you feel that way too.

I really like this idea, since I think just about everyone has been in a little room having a private conversation when someone has appeared out of thin air. Kind of breaks the mood. Plus, I know several people who have been or have nearly been accidentally locked into rooms, like Jasmine almost being locked into the dungeon. By the same token, there are those who have unreliable servers (Hi, Catharsis!) and the 2-hour grace period gives them a bit of flexibility.

Good solution all around.

Oh, I presume that people who are purposely locked in the dungeon won't have this option?

It is a good idea. I'd taken to going to small places, like the pantry east of the kitchen, or somewhere in that first-floor hallway. One time I did, I 'entered the world' in the middle of a private conversation between two people. I apologized and left quickly.

But it was a little unnerving the first time I logged on in my room. I couldn't remember if I'd gone into my room the night before or not. After the second time, I figgured it out.

Well, thanx for the confirmation and the time-period.

Yes Lucas you are correct, if a character is locked into the dungeon they are excluded from this solution and will stay in the dungeon until they are released by the Watchmen or Royal Guard...

Good. After last night's affair I left Jayland in the middle of the Practice Hall, and having him reappear in the middle of sword practice..well (whack,whack,wack..oh, sorry Ser, we didn't see you standing there)

Also, who does one go about bribing a Story Host?
