Log in troubles.

Just in case my email isn't reaching anyone, I'm posting here as well.

I am having connection troubles to the DA server. I click the link provided for Skotos members to log into their personal hangar screen.

As soon as it's loaded, I get kicked to the DA log in screen, where they ask me for my name and password. In the past, all I had to do was reload the intial link page from Skotos, where my cookie was still current, and it sent me to my own update page.

I tried this several times, to no avail. I finally shut down my browser, waited, logged into Skotos to get a fresh cookie and went through the process where you click the link. It goes through...for a mere second and I am right back to looking at the DA log in page.

I'm eligible to join a new arena in 40 minutes, it sure would be nice if I could actually GET to do that. On a side note, I'm glad to see the crashes have stopped.

I purged everything in my browser and tried yet again. Same story. Ugh!

This is a time based game. [edit: I will wait patiently before it gets to be two hours with this problem before getting upset]

This is a time based game. I find it unfair that half the playerbase we compete against will gain so much as an hour that we don't!

Ok, well I finally went to find a DA admin and Snowman corrected the problem with a temporary fix. He says the problem is on their end, and they are looking into a real fix now.


The bottom line? We can now log into DA once again. :)

Sorry for overlooking you guys here this was unintentional as we've been busy working on the new fight engine.

As Brassy has said Snowman made a temp fix that will allow you to login. This is not just an issue that skotos members are facing but all members of DA are.

We are aware of the problem and we're working to fix it permanently so that we don't have to keep applying the temp fix as we are now.

I was unaware that this was a random occurance with all players. When I checked with all the Skotos players in my corp, we all were experiencing the same result. Since I could see the names on the radio changing in the split second I'd get to see my personal screen, I figured it had to be only Skotos. Otherwise I wouldn't have mailed Skotos at all. =)

In the future if I experience problems, I will swing by DA chat right off the bat. :) Thank you for your prompt response, once you were alerted to the problem. That is something I truly do appreciate.

i'm getting the same problem now, i just tried to log in and it starts to load the news page, then all of a sudden it goes to the Da log in page.


any ideas when this will be fixed?

I'm guessing it's been fixed again, because I just came from DA and I had no problem getting in.

Timdawg the minute this occurs, (and it's not just for Skotos members) I run to the global chat and see if an admin is up. Usually Snowman or Rhed can take care of it. :)

When it happens, you just have to be quick. Log in your account from the skotos link and then once it pops the DA screen, you just have to click the 'stop' button in your browser. That way it will not kick you out and you will be able to play. You have to be quick, though.

The main server has been having sporadic albeit temporary problems now and then.

They are currently working on a new fight engine that should be around next season hopefully :) (I'm happy as long as the cpos bug is fixed :P)

Nah, it only lasted for about forty-five minutes or so, I'm not entirely sure what it was.
