Greetings monsters!
This thread will list upcoming events in Grendel's Revenge from this point forward.
Our first occurred tonight at 9PM EST. Thanks to all who participated! I helped work on Grendel's originally when it started, and I'm now returning to run some events and make some things more lively.;) I'll be getting myself back up to speed on the game and hopefully having some fun in the process.:)
Our next event will be two weeks from now. Look for the listing here!

I deeply regret this inconvenience, but tonight's event, "Salt of the Earth" will need to be postponed to Saturday the 9th, due to illness of the GM.
I was going to go ahead and run it anyways, but at this point I'm not up to giving it the attention it needs, and rather than shortchange any of you, I'd rather postpone until I'm feeling better and can do better with it.
Once again, apologies for the inconvenience, and I will repost it at the beginning of the coming week.

"Fool's Cap"
Over the last several weeks, an intriguing puzzle involving keys has seemed to waken Grendel from his slumber. But while the interests and concerns of monsters have been bent to the task of finding them, there are others who seek them as well, for reasons yet unknown.

Due to ongoing connectivity problems with my ISP this week, there will be no formal event, however, check on Saturday evening, January 15th, from 8PM EST to 12AM EST for some goodies on the uglies!
(I'd rather have held an event, but getting booted every five minutes is extremely annoying and stressful during an event. Hopefully the problem will be cleared up soon.)

I will be doing an event late tomorrow afternoon (that is to say Saturday, January 22). It should take place around 5PM, EST.
Sorry for the short notice, but it was an off-the-wall idea.

"Sunny side up, fuzzy side down"
When floppy ears and furry tails invade, its best not to count your eggs before they hatch. Be careful of any suspicious looking creatures you may find throughout the weekend. You may end up with a rotten egg.
[To take place all weekend.]

"Lost City"
Saturday, June 18, 6pm EST
An unnatural mist sweeps over Uthgol's lowlands. Something nibbles on the consciousness of the Chimera, as if a splinter was stuck into the land itself. The Humanoids rise from their dens, their noses disturbed by strange scents. The Undead sense others, like them but not like them, similar in form but warped in will.
Will you unlock the mystery of the lost city?

"Tales of Glory"
Wednesday, September 6th 7:00pm EST
You are cordially invited to a very special engagement, hosted by the self-proclaimed Erudite Titan, Jorthul. A journal is being created, composed entirely of the greatest moments in Uthgol's history. Jorthul's editor, Schleen the Publishing Troll, feels that it needs to be longer. Therefore, Jorthul wishes to pad his great work with the stories of lesser monsters, such as yourselves. You are requested to come and recount your greatest accomplishment against the uglies and other monsters alike. Of course, all participants will be remunerated.
Meet at the Grunt's Fane.

As streaks of fire have appeared in the skies above Uthgol, Morchagh turned his eyes to the stars in search of an answer. A frown creases his brow. “I don’t like the looks of this. I fear something is coming. Something we cannot avoid. Something that threatens us all.” Morchagh, using the power granted to him by Grendel himself sends out his thoughts, “Be wary my brothers and sisters. Something is coming. Be prepared to answer the call of Grendel.” His message is suddenly silenced, as if cut off by some outside source.
[Watch for signs throughout the week beginning Monday, April 23.]

"Spies, Stirrings, and Suspicions"
Saturday, April 5 12:00pm EST and ongoing
Shamans wake from their slumbers in wordless fear. Hunters see ships far off on the horizon. Even the golems are restless. The hints are unmistakable: The humans are planning something. Something unlike anything that has happened in recent years. But they seem cautious. The usual adventuring parties go out, but do they have orders to act as spies as well? Will the human spies end up giving away their own plans?

"Expeditionary Forces"
Friday, April 11 7:00pm EST
The uglies' ships have landed and they have begun their assault. Will they get their long-dreamed-of conquest of Uthgol? Or will they end up in some monster's cook-pot? It might seem obvious, but don't get overconfident -- these aren't the usual humans, and they have more than one trick up their sleeve.
