Tonight the CE team giggled ourselves silly thinking about and describing to each other some of our favorite scenes and moments that have happened thus far while RPing with you or watching you RP in Castle Marrach (recently I find any involving potatoes hysterical - some of you may know what I mean http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif). So we wondered if any of you would be willing to summarize and share some of your favorites so far? Strictly OOC mind you....

Chav

I enjoy my other char, but s/he is entirely unfun at times, so I have Chav. I love Chav. I've laughed myself senseless with Chav. He might seem rude at times, but there's logical reasoning over it all. In his two days of existence, my favorite was the first night when after bantering insults around, but before the Launfal incident (which was quite fun too), Chav threw a roll at Yorkshire. Who promptly took it tossed it back. Suddenly we were in a small game of catch. Who knew?

It's those unexpected moments that I love the most (yes, the potatos crack me up!). Unexpected, yet so human.

Make it all seem like more than a game.

I think my favorite scene was played out last night. Unfortunately not many really witnessed it, but have an idea that something happened between Edouard and Faer.

It has been the hardest scene for me to actually RP out as I already knew what needed to happen, but found it rather distressing that folks forget that part of the game is to 'eavesdrop' on converstations, or scenes that are played out. Remember... some secrets are learned only through quietly watching and listening to what is going on, or listening to other characters who just might be important.

I have to say to Edouard's player, thanks for being patient with me. Also, to Robert and Kiera for being the wonderful "Oath Brother and Sister" to their foolish third leg of the Triad who lets her Heart rule her head and actions.

I also want to thank the other story tellers, and story hosts for providing a very rich enviroment of mystery and intrigue.

To other players that I interact with: So many of you are really great players. In the two plus months that I have been playing, it really has been a blast to RP with you. I hope many of you decide to stay once skotos brings their other games online. I wish I could join them, but I will have to limit my RP to just CM.

Roll out more puzzles/riddles/plots for Faer to become confused about! So many distractions and so little time! http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Kiera
12-03-2000, 10:49 AM
My favorite scenes so far have been private ones with other characters. The one where Kiera and Faer discussed Death in Marrach (or lack thereof) comes to mind. Or trying frantically to answer a very deep question from one of the Senior Duelists that I had not fully considered until that point.

These scenes force me as a player to delve more deeply into Kiera than with most other RP I've done. Thanks to all of you who have helped this along.

Keep up the good work, Skotos. And quit giggling at us! http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

And Faer - quit hogging all the plots! http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

Well, my favorite funny scene was probably the night of my binding, where I was super polite. Also that very night was when well, Victor had an... well.... love issue with me... but I don't want to go there http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

Jayland trying to find Helena to warn her of the 'Love Letter' prank. Him running all over the Castle trying to find her was very interesting to play. But I blew the scean with Elea, missing a really good oppertunity for some silly comedy because I didn't think quickly enought.
But in the end, things worked out between Helena and Jayland..

Now what is this about potatos?

Personally, I thought the love cider scene was the best. Women and men fawning all over each other! HAHAHAHA! That was hilarious! Even funnier, was Duren, trying lamely to hit on Jasmine. I think a lot of people agreed that was hillarious. He needs better pick up lines huh? http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif
Try that again sometime?

Most of my favorite scenes have been private, as well. One of my favorites was when Punzel grabbed Martel and kissed him, when she was still in disguise and he thought she was a boy. Poor Martel was so shocked, just standing there gasping wordlessly, blushing uncontrollably. This was probably about 8 weeks ago now, but it still cracks me up.

And then there was the first evening Punzel made snow angels with Sara, Harwood, Lobo, and Watchman Zero in the west courtyard, the same evening I first saw Harwood's delightfully wicked impression of Anastacia. I was laughing so hard I nearly fell out of my chair.

My favourite scene so far has to be when Rand and Punzel were talking in the west courtyard, and a newbie rushed up asking for assistance opening the armoury. He kept claiming he needed armour and weapons since he didn't know how to fight. It was hard to stay serious...

Favorite scenes are pretty hard, since there are so many. And new ones het added each week. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif

Some of my favorites:

Finding out Punzel was a girl. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

The Victor Duel

Accusing Philo to Corporal Petris

One provate scene with Allenya

Trying to convince people to leave me alone with the dove tower.

There have been many others, but those are some that will stand out in my memory.

Hello everyone,

I have had a few really interesting scenes so far. Some private. Some public. I really do enjoy good roleplaying.

Favorite public scenes:
- Being chosen as the First Apprentice to Lady Serista.
- My scene with the Priestess speaking about courting with Doren and then the following scene being so upset about Tobriand.
- Utterly flipping out after Duvessa's death and slapping Sinistrelle.
- Trying to keep Martel from the Dove Tower door. *oy* I never thought I'd see the day where Martel would actually draw a sword on me or call me a Witch.

Favorite private scenes:
- My binding
- My long, long talk with Lobo in the hayloft about magic, Evanye, the True Name and Serista.
- A private talk with a certain Watchman.

Cheers!
Elea

My favorite scene so far was when Cedric proposed to Diana. There was a parallel to real life that was almost spooky: In real life, when I asked my wife to marry me in front of a lot of family members, there was a long period (seemed like hours, but really only about 20 seconds) where there was lots of cheering but she wasn't answering. Then "Uncle Max" exclaimed "I never heard her say yes!" Then, finally, she said yes. Now, five years later, in Castle Marrach, with no foreplanning of it at all, almost exactly the same scene happened again. I just about fell out of my chair. I told my real life wife about it and we laughed for hours.

Another fun scene was when I was messing with another character's mind. As a joke, I was trying to convince him that the whole castle was just a dream. As one item of proof, I asked him how we were talking since we have no tongues. I told him to examine his tongue. When the system told him he didn't have one he screamed. It was pretty funny.

Also, keeping Martel away from the Dovecote was fun. I never thought I'd be tackling Martel to take away his sword! A while afterwards, he tried to get away from me. I knew he would be trying to elude me, so I was entering about ten "follow martel" commands every second. He logged a bug saying that the elude command wasn't working. While I typed my response to him telling him that it was working just fine, but I was too good of a follower, he managed to elude me. I thought that was high humor.

I've avoided posting here, because there are SO many scenes that I have loved...

If I try to mention a scene, there will be another popping up in the castle that I will enjoy more. So there's no point.

I must be on ALOT, I remember being in most of these scenes... http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif

My favorite scene so far was when Philo still thought Punzel was a man and she told him that she had a crush on Martel.

All,

Thanks to those of you who have so far shared some of your favorite moments - it's really cool to hear some of the things that go on in the castle that we StoryHosts don't get to see or hear...If there are more of you who wished to add to this post we'd love to read your thoughts/memories thus far too.

Cedric - LOL So that's why we received a bug log very insistent that we add tongues! http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Margaret & Darren - We (StoryHosts) are a pretty unruly lot when we aren't hosting and have some inside jokes we play on one another to amuse ourselves...there was a certain "character" created that happened to scuttle it's way out into the Castle a couple times while players were about. It's appearance has yielded some humorous results in our bug logs and overheard discussions...ask around a bit and I'm sure you'll run into at least one person who has seen a rather special potato... http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks again,

Sariel

Hmmm....I've been wondering why servants and guard seem to be hanging around at weird times, just when something interesting happens. Anyway....my favorite scenes.....let's see;

Well, probably one of the most fun was when Lobo was trying to teach Katherine of the 'Birds and the Bees'. If I remember correctly, we never finished that talk, and I dont think Lobo wants to!

There is also the time Lobo lost it and attacked some random man in the dining hall (sorry I forgot your name) and ended up fighting Felix, Andrew i think, and Philo (how the jewels feeling there bud http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif )If this was a TV show it would probably have been a great fight scene.

Can't forget the Roland-Edouard duel. I spent a good hour or so looking for Ed before the duel, worried he wasn't going to show and Faer would have to take his place.

I know there are more, I just cant think of them right now http://www.skotos.net/ubb/frown.gif

There are so many scenes and memories from Marrach that had me falling out of my chair from laughter, and some that were so intense, I was almost shaking. But I will only list a select few.

A favorite scene of mine was when Duren ate another girl's special talking potato. It really upset her, and they were in a rampaging fight with eachother... then she abruptly ended the whole thing with a kiss. (It left Duren flabbergasted. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif"

Victor falling in love with Retribution was hilarious. But I was really shocked when Retri came back and told me he was in my debt for helping him when he collapsed from the whole experience.

Cedric proposing to Diana will remain a favorite of mine. It took a lot of time and planning (and he wrote the most beautiful poem!), and it was a real touching moment for my character.

I also thought it was funny when they had the "well equipped" courier walking around. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif They need to bring him back... http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

My favorite moment?Hmm.I remember speculating about the Dove Tower once, and then Ser Cedric came over and told me that nothing in the castle was real. Back then, "stone" has a description in which it seemed to be the "stuff of dreams". It has changed now. The highlight of it was when Ser Cedric said that we couldn't be talking, since we had no tongues. I screamed in panic.

Then there was the scene in which I tried to communicate with the page Enneihand with Sera Diana. Unfortunatly, that page has probably been executed now for trying to speak with the guests of the Castle.

LOL! That was so funny!! Poor Jasmine kept trying to hide behind people and Duren would just dodge around them! I was laughing so hard I was having trouble typing! And when she ran into the halll followed by Duren then Watchman Artegal....ROFL!!

I also love the scene where Sansamor kept trying to play with the fire and Jasmine and Margaret were doing their best to keep him out of it!

There are so many fun scenes. You guys are all great and I look forward to enacting many more!

There were so many.. how can one choose..

-All scenes with Victor.. especially finally taking a beer from him seconds before haivn ghim dragged away.
-All scenes with Dame Oriana and the members of the Gardener's group
-Martel's duel with Victor
-The poet's event -- the Frog voices had me cracking up for days afterwards!

But I think my most favorite and strongest scene ever, played itself out the very first and second nights of the castle.. One word.. Edouard.

=)

But the most special moments for me occured when Brahm proposed to Arrion, and when Martel, brahm and Arrion agreed together to seek our Duelist status together.

Forever shall such memories stay alive.. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif

Favorite scenes? Let me kick back and think on that one...

Public scenes:

Being at the Giving Day dance, cheerfully drinking 7 beers during the poetry reading, up to the point when Punzel read the poem when he admitted he was a she. I had thought that was a joke, since by that time, the third beer I had drank had kicked in. Of course upon looking at Punzel, poor Robert decided that he had better quit drinking so many beers that fast.

Both the Victor/Martel duel and the Edouard/Roland duel were well done. Robert is beginning to think he had better do something lest Martel have all the fun.

Duvessa's death was a memorable scene. Robert could only empathize with the Apprentices, but had definately felt something happen when the Binding failed.

Of course there is one group of scenes that still stand out. I mean the cursed cider, of course. Of course after Robert had drank the cider, no one would talk to him, at least until Sariel (as Gwen) came down to keep him from standing there cheerfully humming to himself. I still think poor Robert said enough sappy things to have made a gallon of syrup. Of course, the chat with Gwen apologizing about the experience was funny as well. Then to top that off, Jebediah telling Robert that he acted the most honorably while under the influence of the cider kept Robert groaning, but me laughing.

Private scenes:

Any scene with Robert, Faer, and Kiera. I am truly thankful that I have such good RPer's of their quality by me.

The chat with Kiera by the drawbridge when both Robert and Kiera found that they should be together.

Robert proposing to Kiera in the Duelist's Headquarters Friday before the Ball. Robert now tells everyone that the earth moved since both me and Kiera got kicked out right after she accepted Robert's proposal. Of course Sariel's comments were funny as well when I paged her to ask what happened. I am sure that Sariel has been kept amused by Robert's antics, and is probably now thinking up more devious things to do to him.

Keep up the good work, gang!

Ok, ok, ok... I give. I have a favorite scene.

It has to be right after the Winter Ball, Punzel and Zero dancing in the Outer Bailey dungeon around a 30' deep oubliette. Especially in the end, when it broke down into disco (and Punzel sure can Hustle!).

That has to be my favorite scene ever. I have never laughed so hard in this game. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

[Yes, Monkey, I was DEAD tired when I wrote this originally... http://www.skotos.net/ubb/tongue.gif ]

Obelisk? Do you mean the oubliette?

Faith
12-12-2000, 06:00 PM
Since Faith was Nelwy Awakened, she had quite a few favorite and memorable scenes. One of the most memorable was when her and Rand fell in love. That was pretty hilarious because Faith was naked <because she was a newbie> and when Rand told her he knew where her dress was, she gave him a kiss. When she went south, he followed her and i guess that's when love started. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/tongue.gif

Another favorite scene was when Margaret suggested a snow fight and everyone went out to the courtyard and played like happy children. It was so fun. I couldn't stop laughing because Delacroix and Faith kept attacking each other. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif That was memorable.

The last favorite scene so far was the Winter Ball. Everyone had such a good time except it was funny how the Prince kept flirting with the women already taken. Bravo to Duren, Cedric, and Rand for keeping their cool. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif That's about it! Bai Bai! http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

I like this topic. I've been here less than a week, but I'm starting to be able to put faces to names (figuratively speaking). I have to say that my absolute favorite moment was the Sausage fight Margaret started with Ewan (or was it the other way around?) and then Duren disarming her by eating all of the sausage. Watching her get completely flustered was hilarious!

Stacy Elizabeth

Oh! I've got a couple more now. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif

The Winter Ball was just a perfect night. It was a bit hectic and overcrowded, but it was very sereen for alot of people. (Good job Marrach!) But dancing with the prince was alot of fun, not only because I was being very flirtacious with him, then turned him down flat (he wanted to um... just have/one/ drink with me), but seeing how both Lobo and Cedric were reacting while me and the prince were dancing made it great. Seeing men be protective is such a great feeling (when not overdone), so thank you both!

Also, when Duren and I had a food fight with a lamb leg and a roll... that was a lot of fun. I kept throwing the lamb on his head... but after that, it took a turning when Duren decided I was too drunk and needed to go to my room. He picked me up in a fireman's carry, and I screamed and flailed and accidently kicked him in the groin. (I don't think he's ever truly forgiven me! http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif )

Yes, Linnet and Faith, the snow fight and the sausage fight were most fun. Margaret, every moment spent with you has been a highlight -- of course, your acceptance of my marriage proposal is the most special of all. The scene where the shadow spoke through Lith in the courtyard is a definite memorable moment; as was Myalia's arrest. And, Lobo, your remembrance session with me was very intense (thanks). Also, the night we all went around and tried doors until we found the key dropped by Launfal fitted one of the west doors in the dining room was fun. These are but a few worthy of mention.

New years eve was fun. The dance by Addreama was the highlight - scared some people off, I thought. then the second party, Charmiam and Noddi doing the rounds kissing the respective opposite sexes. Duren was terribly worried that Noddi would kiss him. threatened him with a sausage!

by the way, what is the range of a sausauge?
