I've been involved off and on in the MU* community for awhile now and am curious who is involved in Skotos. I recognize Shannon Appel but wonder if I might know who else is a Skotosian. Is there a staff page somewhere?

Thanks!

Hey Mitchell,

Well let's see - Currently, there are 16 of us that are either Skotosians or contracted Skotosians. In fact, if you want to *see* us, you can visit our GenCon area. Our group picture is there. <http://www.skotos.net/about/index.html> Look under the heading Skotos Press.

Within that motley crew is our fearless leader Christopher Allen, who among his many accomplishments is also the current moderator of the StoryBuilder portion of this site. The rest of us Skotosians are a mix of folks; some who MU* avidly, some who MU* casually, and a couple who are total newbies (to help the rest of us maintain our perspective). That said, *all* of us play games, not just in the MU* area, but also pen and paper, computer, videogames etc.

Probably the most "name worthy" Skotosians beside Christopher Allen would be (in no particular order) Pär Winzell - our head engineer who you may know as a coder and an archwizard of LPMuds, especially those in connection with DGD technology. Staci Dumoski, published writer and former wizard at Camelot MUSH. Janyce and Charles Engan who wrote and edited "Beyond The Mountains of Madness," which won Best Role Playing Adventure Campaign of 1999 at Origins this year. Dana Lombardy publisher of the widely-acclaimed Napoleon Magazine. Finally there's Shannon Appel, former employee of Chaosium and contributor to their “Call of Cthulhu” line, who is now our Director of Operations.

The rest of us come from eclectic backgrounds (motion picture industry, desktop publishing, videogames and entertainment industries). We are amateur historians, "professional" gamers, writers, screenwriters, and gameplayers. But we all
really *love* to play and are really excited to be a part of Skotos.

Hope that answers your question! Frankly, we're flattered someone wanted to know! http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thanks for the info, was just curious if anyone I knew from the MU* community was involved. Its always nice to know more about the creative people involved in such an interesting endeavor.

Also, thanks for the link back to gamegrene.com - I'm an editor for the site which just debuted this month and we need all the links we can get at this point! http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif
