But apparently his Browser's giving us all a royal case of the fits, possibly due to the configeration quirks that'll effect a site built with a program friendly to Microsoft Internet Explorer that won't work at all with Netscape Navagator.
Then there's picture size, resalution, and format..Anomg other things.

I visited the site using a bootleg Internet Explorer on a 56.6 Modem (I'll be damned to give Bill Gates any money!!!!!) and it ran smooth. So I figure anbody who's having problems is either using Netscape, a low speed modem or suffered from bad phone connection somewhere between here and there.

Hee! I would have paid a lot (even more than the usual two cents Retribution gets in reply to his posts) to witness Victor falling madly in love with Ser Retri and desperately trying to woo him!

Launfal's quote is exactly why I put that thought of mine in my top 10 topic. You really wonder if he does get enough sleep. But be assured that I enjoy the rants.

I always read your page (as long as you post any changes you make here to let me know that something new is there) and it's always entertaining. This time, I loved the reference to Artegal as the "evil Watchman"... hehe. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Ret, can I point out a factual error?

The person who killed Roland was Anastasia (with an s), not the character Anastacia (with a c) who was dating Martel for a while. I know lots of other people got them confused as well, but Martel'd like not to be implicated in a murder. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif

LOL, I love the quote.

And by the way, I was on the next day when CE came on. They announced "Thank you for not burning down the castle!" http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

I have to admit that Robert and Kiera thought about trying to burn it down, since both of us still have candles, but we didn't.

Gee Retri, I didn't know you cared =D

On that note, the peculiar sense of honor that has come into Marrach recently reminds me of the "blood debt" honor system from pre-christian europe in the early middle ages. I not only say this because of what Retri pointed out (the presence of personal honor instead of, say the honor of your liege or your family). The most curious thing seems to be an unintentional cycle of revenge between rivaling factions perpetuated by insult. Blood debt occurs when one individual demands a debt of blood (ie injury or death) for a grievance against him/her. Something not unlike a duel would insue (though could have more than two participants) and if the suer won the debt was collected, and if the debtor won then the debt was null.

There were entire sets of laws devoted to this sense of compensation and debt... to read about it you can look at "Njal's Saga" published by Penguin Classics. It's fairly long, but very easy to read.

Just one more shameless plug for medieval literature ^_~,

What about that broadcast "Oops http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif" they sent out when they were letting us know why we were so lagged the other day (you know... when they were fixing the couriers)
