Most FUNNIEST Moment...

Ok I just had to put this up now..I just experienced the most HILARIOUS time since I came to the Castle...

Faith walked east of the Dining Hall to that room and Catharsis, Siobhan, Delacroix, Alexis, and Ferguson were all lying down on the rug...I joined them for like, a slumber party sort. Then Watchman Gareth walked in and he joined us...all of them were admiring their new books when Gareth tried new HTML codes into his book. Suddenly, I experienced big problems. Siobhan, Avaria, and I had these HUMONGOUS fonts goin crazy on our beta client...Siobhan started screaming and I started going crazy...Avaria started getting mad...it was so hilarious...if you want the whole log, I have it on Faith's webpage...check it out! And then after, Catharsis went and started bullying the people next door with the codes..FUNNY! It might not be funny to the people who werent there...u had to be there!!!

Honestly, this can be useful in things like sword practices and at meetings when you need people to listen, because you can bold the text by talking (ooc, preferably) in html ... like <b> HOLD! </b>

To keep the pranksters at bay ... you will usually need to say </front> or </b> or <font size = 1>

I try to share this information to keep an evil rat from making half the people's screens go crazy (java clients aren't affected!) and then running out of the room while they all scream.

I brought this up months ago in an old thread when I figured out that HTML was available in the game, and there was a discussion on what to do with it. It was decided by Skotos and players alike that it was not a good idea to use it. I'll bring it back up from the dusty recesses of the forum to the light of day, so that you can look it over.

Good point. If it is screwing screens up and not fixing them, then it needs to be avoided. Would be handy for shouts to be in bold and all ... but it's more of a hassel when people have to shut down and log back in to fix their client.

Lots o' pasting and editing, really.

Now that I can log ... well, that makes it a LOT easier. *grin* depends how you are working your web page. I do it by hand, for the most part.

If you are using the ActiveX client (in other words, IE on Win 98) then you can right-click in the output window and turn logging on. It will save everything to a text file for you.

A few..

The most hilarious Marrach moment was when Duren was being stupid as Ashitaka looked aghast as Duren kept tripping on more and more words.It still brings a laugh out of me to think of it.

Other moments were, in no particular order:
Andrew snapping at my report after he returned after the holidays; Avaria making bunny ears behind at an unsuspecting Angron;Faith mooing exerimentally, followed by my mooing expertly; Santlar and Retribution exchanging barbs.

Ready for something funny? Myrth found another newly awakened.. ok this isn't odd.. she's helped about 20 of 'em... but she mistook him for a woman.. (There were two newly awakened present, one she knew was a guy.. the other she read the decrip too quickly and.. he had one of those names.)
In the confusion.. she took him to the seamstress' and tried to get him dressed... a guard grabbed him and poofed him to the tailors..
Trying to figure out what happened.. sera Mintle finally finds him.. quite nude and confused on the other side of the castle.. she comes back and tells myrth.. who.. OOC Blushes bright ...purple...

Igg!! I've never done anything so embarressing in this game!


The only thing that comes close is when I went to give my true name to Elea, and was suppose to whisper when I was going to tell her the other guilds I was going to join in the meantime before my binding.. I didn't whisper.. OFCOURSE Retribution was in the room... and made a comment that not only embarressed Myrth.. but also her player... but ooc everyone said, no prob' it's just a game.. So that turned out to not be so bad...

But for shame Retri! She'll never forget that you meanie!

Faith was in the Dining Hall with Rand, Duren, and Doren when Kalina <I think?? I'm sorry...I forgot the spelling if it's wrong> walked in with linens...she removes them and Duren starts going crazy and saying all this nonsense stuff. She goes up to him and kisses him, sits on him, and he's just being so foolish and flabbergasted the whole time! I guess this wasn't a funny moment or anything, but it definitely made my night. Rand, Avaria, Gareth, Hannah, Dittersdorf, and Cedric were sitting in the Refectory and we ended up having a minature fine arts festival, complete with singing story telling and poetry. It was nice to be involved in a happy situation for a change...
