Attention Citizens,

Due to a recent bit of confusion with the donation box, the Church has investigated the recent so-called 'thefts' to a great degree.

I spoke with Joshua personally about the laws concerning the box. The box is under the domain of The Holy Church of S'allumer. There are no laws regarding whom can take what from the box, when they can take things from the box, and under which circumstances.

I wrote to Mercutio di'Rinaldi about the sanitation in the city and discovered two things of importance.

FIRST : Things thrown away in normal garbage cans once a day deemed of value by the sanitation of the city are cleaned and depositited in the Donation box.

SECOND : Things in the box remaining there more than a day will be discarded forever and destroyed.

I spoke with the other members of Clergy about the incident of Oraorao taking things from the box and the following actions were decided upon :

FIRST : Speak to Oraorao about the motivations, the purpose, and the intentions behind taking of items from the box.

SECOND : Teach Oraorao, if the Church did find him wrongfully taking from the poor, hungry, needy, and such that he was in err.

~ Unfortunatly this choice of action was not well recieved, and citizens instead demanded a stricter punishment for this gentleman for taking items from the box and selling them through his merchant company. ~

I spoke with Oraorao personally about the matters of the box, and discovered the following :

FIRSTLY : He was aware of the box being cleaned nightly and was sparing the items that were to be destroyed forever from destruction, selling them a a very inexpensive price to those who had some money, though not enough to purchase new items.

SECONDLY : He was giving all proceeds that he aquired from his sales either directly back to the church, or to new arrivals in the city directly, furthermore finding plain clothing in the box, spending the coin he recieved to color these clothings. These clothes can be seen, and given to new personages of our city, and are located in the TAILOR'S RACK. They will not be destoyed nightly there.

THIRDLY : He has approached and agreed to work with any limitations the Church chooses to place upon the box, and furthermore if the Church deems that he is acting inappropriately will stop salvaging valueable items from the box before they are destroyed for the purpose of resale, and donating that money to charity.

In light of all this confusion, The Holy Church of S'allumer will decree some guidelines for the donation box once all the clergy has met to discuss it. It is sad when something like Generousity causes such strife.
