View Full Version : Just a reminder...

OOC: sorry to do this on the IC board, but circumstances have led me to put a reminder all by it's lonesome. I, the player, going by the name of bumblebee, have several characters I'm developing, one of which has put treasonous poetry on the board. Now, perhaps this violates IC rules, giving this away, but let me remind you- my poetry is signed "ser anonymity", not Dove. Dove is not a treasonous character by anyone's standards. Please don't assume she is simply because bumblebee appears next to some unsigned, illegal poetry. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/mad.gif

OOC:
Ofcourse, if the poetry is unsigned, it's unsigned. Even if the account placing it belongs to someone whom has reference to other characters.
But to avoid confusion, creating a second forum account would be a good way of avoiding any confusiong In-Characterwise.

(ooc: Well, of course this is OOC cause Zero is dead. But remember, Bumblebee, there are some in the castle who can tell who wrote a scroll my magical means, IC-ly, and so any scroll you write can be damning to your character. And this can often include forum posts as well. There really isn't such thing as an anonymous post or scroll in the castle. OOC over, now I wish you had posted in the Castle Marrach forum where this thread belongs. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/frown.gif)

(OOC: first of all, if an administrator would kindly move this to the Castle Marrach forums, I'm sure it would be appreciated. Second, I only posted it here cause it was an IC problem, and I hoped whoever was assuming things from my playername would see it while looking for more poetry. But atema, you are right, it should have gone in a different forum. I never intended it to be a discussion though, just a short note reminding everyone that the post is unsigned and I have a million alts who could have done it. And yes, I know scrolls can't remain anonymous, but posts can, if other players can remember that unsigned posts are unsigned.)

[Bumblebee, i hope it is not me that upset you by OOC commenting and praising your poetry, we were alone and i told you explicitly, i know OOC but addy does not know IC..
I certainly hope people here can keep the IC/OOC posts seperate..and remember that unsigned is unsigned..]

(ooc: Um, no Impish. If Retribution, for example, reads the forums and sees a user name, he can with all right say who the author is, because he has that IC power. On the other hand, you are correct that under every other circumstance you should ignore the username. Then again, Bumblebee should get another username because people WILL forget to ignore it, no matter how you ask. That's why I have 4 different identities on this forum. http://www.skotos.net/ubb/biggrin.gif)

(OOC: alright, I really didn't want to start a long ooc thread in ic forums. Would an administrator please transfer this to the castle marrach forums?
Now, to the people who have whispered ooc complements on my poetry...
No, that's not why I'm annoyed. There was a scroll, lets leave it at that. Don't want to ruin any plots. I'm sincerely flattered by all the complements I have recieved... and ooc comments about my other characters, when whispered so that the whole world doesn't hear them, I don't mind at all.
Aw, retribution can identify posts? That's not much fun, how can we post evil things and not get caught then?
How do I get a new forum identity? Does it cost extra $$$?)
(This is really getting too long for this forum, it needs to be moved. I'm sorry I started it here.)

Yes I can identify scrolls and posts http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif How can you go about not getting caught? Well thats easy, if you are really intent or afraid that you will get caught, approach Retribution, and pay him off in some means, so that he won't identify the scroll. However, because Retribution is the way he is, if he gets a better offer he won't hesitate to turn you in...... http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

But what if you have some obscure name as your mysterious bulletin board poster? Like, a seperate account--complete with a different email addy? How is Retri gonna track that down, huh? http://www.skotos.net/ubb/wink.gif

Yeah, Retribution, what if I don't get a seperate forum name? Then you could only say it's one of like, 11 people? http://www.skotos.net/ubb/tongue.gif What do you do then?
(*evil grin*)
Signed without a name
Which really is a shame
Cause now who will you blame?
When my posts are all the same?
(*maniacal laughter*)
