At this web site (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://lovecraftcountry.com), you can find archives of the internet dating all the way back to 1996. As most of you know, the main LC web site died a horrible death several months ago and many mourned the loss of its precious content. However, with the Wayback Machine that content is still available!
OLIVER WHITE RESPONDED:
I hadn't even thought to use the wayback machine...
I like the original homepage, here (http://web.archive.org/web/20031212152046/http://www.lovecraftcountry.com/). That letter gives you a sense of the game much better than just jumping into the menu we had later on. Coincidentally, Oliver was just telling someone yesterday that this town was weird, that the locals still believed in witches; and voila 4 years ago the webpage said what Oliver said last night! (It's good to know that I don't have a single original thought.) If/when the website gets reanimated, we should have a homepage like that again.
