Anyone who's started playing the game within the past year and half doesn't really know what I'm talking about, but the biannual electric storms (during winter and then during summer) were an absolutely cool thing. I don't know why they stopped, but they gave the world one more sense that things weren't quite right in Arkham. Plus they were something to look forward to. A week of shocking good times.

Staff Answer:
The electrical storms, so I believe, are part of the weather system, same as meteor showers. We shall double-double check to see if that is true. If it is part of the weather storm, when they happen are entirely random, but the weather system can be arranged/called upon for specific weather patterns.

The electrical storms seemed far too scripted to be random weather emits. As I recall, there'd be several days of odd clouds with static electricity in the air, shocking people who'd touch random things, and then the actual storm would break out for a day or so of awesome emits, and then -poof- gone. Which is nothing like our silly "The sky is perfectly clear. It is raining" system we normally have. So while it might be in the weather system, it must be a special weather event that needs staff triggering that overrrides other weather.

And they should occur twice a year, once during summer, once during winter. (So said Jericho once) And they don't include rain, at least the winter storm doesn't (Jericho again) And the best place to watch them is from the Hill Street Burial ground (Jericho for the hat trick). And James Prince really doesn't want to be outside during them.
