Attention Patrons of the Orne Library,
We in the book conservation group understand that on occasion there are specific books or certain subjects which perhaps are not currently on the shelves. We are working hard at restoring and preserving all of our current collection of over 400,000 books. It will take some time before our task is completed. And indeed it will never be completed, as daily the books are subjected to wear and tear, the effects of which eventually can render some books too damaged for general circulation until they have been repaired. We ask your patience in this lengthy project.
What would be most helpful to us is if we knew what you, our patrons, were most interested in. So please, contact a student librarian or write to me directly and I shall see if such books are in the library's collection, awaiting restoration. If they are, hopefully we can expedite their repair, in hopes of better serving you.
