If you do not have access to @build, there is an alternative way to create a prop and submit your request.
To get a custom prop in game please file an @storypoint. Use the following guidelines when submitting for an item. An involved more cumbersome project may require an email. We will let you know if you need to do so. If you have any questions prior to submitting a request please ask Dakini or Willow. You will have Story Points deducted for custom items.
All props will need to have a look or examine feature. A look description is a brief description of an item. An examine description is much more involved, but needs to remain brief as well. Please use this form for items in game.
DETAIL [default]
Brief: thing
Look: Look description.
SName: thing
PName: things
Adjective: ordinary
The look should be written in complete sentences with capitalization and punctuation and is the output when someone looks at the object. You don't want to overload the person looking at the object, but things that would be obvious while taking a brief look at an object should be described. You should also mention other details that you wish to put in and want people to look at.
After the look you have the option to add in an examine. If you do not put an examine in, and someone examines the object, it will default to the look description. The examine contains details that a casual look would miss and is written in complete sentences just as the look is.
Brief: teddy bear
Look: A plush teddy bear with dirty brown fur. He has a ratty yellow ribbon around his neck and his left paw has been torn off.
Examine: A plush teddy bear with dirty brown fur. He has a ratty yellow ribbon around his neck and his left paw has been torn off. There is a faint red stain on his backside.
So to submit an @storypoint you might do something like this; "I would like a custom teddy bear. Brief: teddy bear Look: A plush teddy bear with dirty brown fur. Let’s say you want more detail in the bear. You have the opportunity to add details. For example you might want to make the eyes, lips, or hands targetable.
DETAIL [eyes]
Brief: pair of half slit black eyes
Look: A pair of half slit black eyes. They seem to be coming unattached from the head.
Examine: A pair of half slit black eyes. They seem to be coming unattached from the head. You notice small flecks of gold in them.
You can continue with the description as you see fit.
We as staff can add the Singular Names SName: and Plural Names PName: to your object. You can also take the extra step if you would like. We also use adjectives to make the item targetable. Here is an example.

CLOTHING AND SHOES:
We need the fabric, color, and material. Please include a look and an examine description.
FOODS:
We will need the taste, color, consistency and smell. You will need a look and examine as well.
JEWELRY:
We will need material, stone, and how item will be worn.
CUSTOM ROOMS:
We will need descriptions of the floor, north wall, south wall, east wall and west wall. A description of the ceiling and lights. A description of the doors. A description of the windows or lack of windows, etc. If you order a custom dorm room for Story Points I will email you a form as you can add bed linens and pillows. You will also have to have a look and examine for each of the following light conditions, bright, dim and dark.
The game currently uses the dim description in rooms. If you want to see the full bright descriptions of any rooms you will need to have a candle or flashlight or lamp as an additional light source. For example take a flashlight outside the café and examine the surroundings and stairs to see what the difference in a description is with the varied light.
You may also be wondering how we approve story point requests.
Staffers do not fill a story point request on the spot. The requests are approved or denied by the leads or the host of the game.
There are standard and non-standard requests. Standard requests are clothing, jewelry, nicknames, and eye-color or body alterations. Types of non-standard requests are anything involving issues that need to be worked through between requester and Lead, or an item that is complicated to build as well as a coding request.
The Lead will review and either approve or deny story point enhancements. It is important for players to make note of their story point request (assist) number when asking for a status update.
From time to time, a player may ask for a refund. In these circumstances, the player will have to file an assist and it will be reviewed by a Lead.
