I'd hereby ask to have Oscar's last post removed from the IC board.

Aside from the fact that it has no place there, his assumption is irrelevant. If he'd bother to bother, he'd know that Kalla's been around for a while. I can't really say how long (I'd guess half a year), and neither can I say whether she's someone's alt. But does it matter?

If it is an established player's alt, then that someone obviously has enough time and devotion to play two full characters. More power to them.

Note: this paragraph as been edited out by SP Deri because it borders on the revelation of somebody's alts. Let this be a reminder to EVERYONE that using such information in order to hurt another player, no matter how such information might have been acquired, is not acceptable behavior.


Any which way, even assuming that because a post of some rank is handed to a character you don't know, the promotion might be a case of OOC abuse is -to my eyes- insulting to the two people involved.

Well, I have no qualms about speaking out. I also requested that his post be removed (along with the one I made in response).

First of all, the IC board is not the place to make OOC comments (barring the occassional clarifications, and explanations of absences). If you want to make such comments Oscar (or anyone), then do it here.

Second, as I stated, just because you do not know a character does not mean that they are new. Kalla has been around for at least six months, and is not the alt of any established player, as you seem to think. Oddly enough, some people get recognised for their role-playing around here.

I'm growing really tired of a lot of the recent stuff going on. I come here to play a game, not to play politics. The level of personal attacks lately has been growing exponentially. What's worse is that we have people deliberately creating anonymous accounts just to avoid any repercussions to their characters.

When I first started playing Marrach, I was impressed at how mature everyone seemed. Well, my illusions are slowly disintegrating. I suppose I should have expected this, cause once you reach a critical mass in any group, I think you get the "game" players. The people who want to protect their own patch.

Personally, I don't care about peoples positions in the castle. I like to play with people who keep me entertained, who give a good experience, regardless of how much weight they have, ICly or OOCly. Some of the newer characters (Eldarion and Sham come to mind) are much more interesting to play with than someone who is uncooperative because they bear an OOC grudge.

Sorry for the rant, but lately I've been questioning whether this is what I want to do with my time. It's getting to the point where I'm spending more time trying to handle OOC problems than actually enjoying the game, and that's really not why I'm playing.
