New Plot is Live

As per the newspaper article posted in the IC section of the forum, we have a new plot starting.

No need to start filing "investigate" requests. It will all be IC. Just keep your eyes open and your ears peeled. Or however that goes.

It seems the newspaper thread in the IC boards is missing now. Is this some kind of server bug, or did it just get deleted?

My apologies for this.

The new plot's existence/continuation was predicated on my "brilliant new system"...which proved, in the end (and despite a very promising test run), to be a miserable failure.

I take full responsibility for this. I simply miscalculated (in a very big way) the motivations that cause players to log in to Lovecraft Country. We had a staff meeting and made a very large course correction and are now forging ahead with new systems that (we hope) will keep you entertained and well-frightened into the foreseeable future.

Once we have the above infrastructure built, we can start back in with more formal plots. Until then, the plot referred to above is, sad to say, on hold, and I "moderated" the newspaper hook, making it invisible for the time, to avoid confusion. When we're ready to roll again, I'll put it back on the boards and bump it.

Unfortunately, as the good Mr. Warner has pointed out...I didn't quash quite all the hooks.

On the positive side, we should have something of vast entertainment potential coming online in a couple of weeks. I personally will flog the coders into meeting that deadline...and will myself burn the midnight oil.

There will be death and destruction in your future. I have spoken.

Personally I only ever logged on for some gratuitous TS'ing. Maybe you could work that into the next plot?

I was actually looking forward to the new system, but always found myself working whenever a plot was scheduled, so I'm actually sorry for helping to inadvertently snuff it out.

However, I'm still looking forward to all the new stuff you've got coming up, and hopefully I'll be able to show up for all the terror. :)
