Are there any plans for an Oasis run? Last time I checked I think the staff were saying something about trying to make it so it could be run by players, yeah?

If not, if enough people showed interest, could one be scheduled? I'd really like to play through Tomb of the Desert God one more time before I died. Thanks!

I will give you money. I will give somebody lots of money to do this. Please. Please do this, if not for me, then for my money. Please.

Wow that brings back memories, I remember hashing out the underlaying plot for the oasis mini. Does it not get run anymore?

Oasis hasn't been run for a while. We've simply not had the staff resources to do it.

Currently, we are literally (yes, literally) burning the midnight oil getting a Very Large System online for your LC delectation...by Monday the 7th. Mistake me not: this *will* happen.

After that, we'll collapse for a while and then we'll do our best to get an Oasis run going.

Maaang, the most fun I've ever had in any of the Skotos games was in Oasis. . . What goes into running a session? Cant you give the Oasis reins to a trusted player then? Like Oliver, or somebody? He's a nice chap, he'd do it responsibly, I bet.

I wanna kill me some snakes and french ladies already!!

Giving Oasis and similar mini-stages more attention might be a great idea, considering Call of Cthulhu has always been more suited for one-off investigations than continuing stories (because of the high incidence of mortality and insanity). Writing new stories (with their alterations), coding up new stages, etc., and then running these. Eventually you'd build a store big enough to just keep cycling through them, and the majority of players would never have played most of them.

I've been poking around Tomb. Can't make any promises, but if I can rope in another staff or 2, perhaps we can run a session sometime real-soon-now.

I personally have never run a session, but it can't be that hard. After all, I think I've only crashed ABN once. :)

Hello All! Former LSC Kokopelli here. I stalk the forums from time to time to see if everything is going according to plan. I couldn't help but notice this thread. Has there been a TOMB run? One of my big projects when I was coding was taking care of TOMB. I'm about 90% certain that I made it so that a single coder could run TOMB from one central location, and that two or three players could run the session with minimal staff assistance. I even trained a few people and set things up codewise to make it a pretty easy process. I even left notes on the Coders Miki.

If a staffer would like to drop me a line, I would be more than happy to pay for a subscription for a month to lend a hand and put the final touches on TOMB. Likewise, somebody said there was something involving the weather system that needed explaining, and that something with the cron daemon might have broken? I didn't get much of an explanation?

Anyway, let me know. sc.kokopelli@gmail.com
