Will the player directory allow us to go back and modify previous comments about a player (or at least add new ones if we change our opinion?)
Also, where is it? If it's on the site I can't find it.

It's off of the Play Now page.
Currently it has the same functionality as Rich's original Directory.
My intention is that, before the first game finishes, it'll be modified to allow per-game comments, thus allowing you to leave a new comment on someone every time you play with them.
Got a bit over a week to get that in;).

Will the game number be displayed in these comments? If this is the fact, what happens after game999 ( there was never such a problem at SE, but when I have a look at the site here, we might break the magic border this year.. ).

game1000, I would presume.
I don't think it'll be a problem.

Actually I have some questions about these comments. Are they about how well the person stuck to alliances/compromised alliances, or are they more about how entertaining the person was to play with? Like IC or OOC?

Traditionally they've been about trustworthiness and how good a player they are.
It's freeform, though. You're welcome to put anything you want. If you tell someone they were fun to play with, that'll just encourage them to be fun in the future, which I think is a good thing.
