Grand Lord refugee was today horrified :eek: by the destruction of the Rfugee peoples new homeland. He noted that he was inspecting installations on another planet when the nuclear holocaust was released.

While reports are sketchy, there are suspicions that this terrible deed was perpetrated by the Madja people. Indeed, they are the only people so far who have invaded Rfugee territorial limits. :mad:

GL refugee stated that this event hardly dented the capacities of the Rfugee peoples' industrial base, and that the Madja people would suffer the revenge of all peace loving peoples, unless they could prove satisfactorily that they were innocent of this act. :rolleyes:

Inside a small room lit with the flickering of monitor screens and small red lights, a young man sits hunched over a map of the galaxy. His eyes are filled with rage and his snarls are almost incoherent.

I will not stop until your pathetic excuse for a tree loving nation is wiped clean and concreted so that children can again play basketball in the streets.

I will not stop until I have the chance to turn your forested worlds into tooth picks and inserted into your body in extremely painful places.

Oh innocent Marc who was amassing an enormous military complex on my border full of fleets ready to strike at the heart of my empire, with his rearguard Dahk in wait.

Had I done the military expediant course and attacked Rfugee when he was weak you would have swept through me like a tornado in March. Now I have another ally.

Did you think I could not see what you were doing, not knowing what you were planning?

This is the interesting time, for the the fate of both our empires hangs in the balance. Will superior planning, technology, or sure brute force win the day?

It will be interesting to find out.

Grand Lord refugee today stated that the revenge on the Madja people is progressing well. He noted that the Rfugee people have had possesion of the Madja homeworld for over 15 hours now. GL refugee gave this tip to all other emperors...

"It is a good idea to leave a few ships to defend your homeworld. The Madja people were so intent on attacking us, they foolishly left their homeworld undefended. The industrial capacity of the Madja homeworld more than makes up for the few factories that were on the Rfugee homeworld when it was wantonly destroyed."

GL refugee praised other leaders who have wisely made agreements with the Rfugee people. :D

"Considering how many ships it took for Madja to re-take his home planet, and how many ships were left when he actually took possession of his planet - It makes one wonder if he will still have it tomorrow at production time? Heh heh - time will tell."

A quite peace spread across the universe until all the neutral stars had been seized.

The first violence erupted between Madja and Rfugee which resulted in the early destruction of the Rfugee homeworld. Beaten down, but not beat, Rfugee formed new diplomatic ties with the Knight Empire and The Totem Federation to sweep back and conquer the Madja peoples. Is this the end for Madja after retaking his homeworld, only to lose it again? It seems like the Rfugee people have a problem keeping a homeworld for any length of time, but I wouldn't underestimate them if I were you.

In response to diplomatic silence, military buildup along their border, and the lust for territory, the Totem Federation strikes out across it's border towards the Marcian people. After taking two key strategic planets, the Federation offers a cease fire which is summarily rejected by the Marcians. "No way in hell!" they say. The Totem forces also nuke F9, cutting off the chances of Dahk joining the fray. The war drags on as the tenacious Marcian people continue to hold ground despite some brilliant tactical maneuvers by the Totem Federation.

Knight strikes out at the Biancan Empire, and immediately the Biancans scream foul play. The Knight Empire summarily denies these accusations. The Biancans seem to be holding their ground fairly well so far with a few losses.

Other border skirmishes are occurring along the western universe, but it's pretty sleepy and peaceful over there so far.

Some fighting has erupted in the south as Shade first, then the sleeping tiger Dahk, flood across the border into the Hikerian Empire. Will Hiker be able to repel these invaders? Will the destruction of a border planet slow Shade down to buy time? Will Hiker be able to regain his fallen homeworld? Only time will tell.

The camera shows Shade looking grim, he shuffles a few papers, then speaks.

"my people, today, it is with heavy heart that I must inform you that a state of hostilities exists between us and the Empire of Hiker. three days ago, an unknown emermy, probably Hiker, destroyed the noble star EDIN, named for your belovered monarch's home. We strenthened our defences on border worlds and sent a strong note of protest, but no responce. A day ago, the forces of Hiker, without provocation, launched a small attack on the world SYEDA, which was beaten off with heavy losses. Following this, it was decided by the PJHQ to launch an immedate counter offensive into Hikers space. To prove how right we were, five minutes after 300 ships departed SYEDA, a death probe destroyed the world. After the astonishing sucess of our arms, and those of our friend DAHK, we have sent out peace feelers to Hiker. Most of his factories are now in our hands. We wish to make one thing clear to Hiker. Any further Death Probe atrocities will be answered in kind!

"All of this is in response to the aggression against the Dahknian's close ally, Shade. It is apparent that the Hikerian people have every intention to cause war, death, and destruction. We will oppose them. We will not allow these attacks to go unanswered. Blood has been shed and more shall be shed before this is done. Our alliance is strong and we shall prevail. The Hikerians shall fall quickly, I assure you."

"I shall end my report with one final thing.. an offer of mercy to our enemies. Surrender to our terms, remove all ships from allied territory, and stop all aggression or you shall be obliterated. Our ships are fast and strong, our people are determined, and we shall prevail over all opposition. You have the option to live or die, I hope you choose intelligently."

Betraying his calm stance with his eyes slightly dazed and smoke slowly drifting off his uniform, the young man glances curiously into the camera..

"Er.. we on?

"Um.. good. While sightseeing some of the star systems belonging to my dearest foe, it seemed the planetoid known as Trout disappeared about two seconds after I had left.

"Now I know what you are thinking. The citizens did it themselves in despair of never being visited by me again, but I suspect something more sinister.

"I should also applaud the individual who did this. That star system was rude in the extreme, lowering the basketball rings to eight feet in an effort to make me feel good about myself. As if my ego is satiated so easily.

"If said person wishes to destroy any other stars, just ask and we can chat proper. Many other such stars have offended me greatly and I don't use such dramatic technology myself."

There is a long pause as the man stands before you awkwardly, his face fixed in a smile. Shoulders slumping, he starts making a cutting gesture to the camera, but the camera continues rolling.

"Um.. cut?

"Stop the tape, you idiot! Cu.."

With the utter collapse of the Madjan, Hikerian, and odds are Biancan Empires, three new super-powers have emerged from the galaxy. Rfugee, Knight, and Shade. Who will be the fourth?

Dahk is leading and Totem and Marc are still locked in a stalemate war. Marc has driven the forces of Totem from most of his stars and even made a failed attempt at capturing the Totem Homeworld. Conversely, the noble Trout system blew up their own planet rather than see it used as a platform of war against their beloved homeworld. Unfortunately, by torture or other means, the Marcian forces got wind of this plot and fled the planet minutes before explosion.

The western side of the galaxy is still silent, as if they had all been wiped out by a plague, but their robotic factories keep humming on. While the eastern side of the galaxy has exploded in war in every direction.

The emperor Shade faces the camera. He is crying, tears of releif and joy. He speaks:

"my people. Today, we celibrate our day of glory. The war, which we were pushed into by HIKER, is nearly over! We have fought bravyly against apparanly overwhelming odds, only to discover that our opponant was made of straw. Give thanks to our noble ally DAKH, who stood by us in our darkest hour, and to the great powers, who have graced us with dimplomatic recongintion!

That said, we wish it known that the attempts of certain, often very certain, powers to cheat us out of our hard-won gains has not gone unnoticed. We wish it known that any power who tries to test the might of my empire will be resisted to the death!"

He goes out to join the celibrating trong in the courtyard of Edinburgh castle, where he is bought drinks and kissed by many girls.


On a more serious note, I guess that totem will beat marc, unless someone else joins in. The westen side of the galaxy may well remain silent, lets not poke the anthills yet. DAHK may well be the next great power if he interferes in the TOTEM/MARC war

With an amused expression, the young man tosses the report onto the growing pile before him. He swivels in his chair to address the camera.

It does seem reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. It matters not.

Oh, may I add we utilised the most savage form of torture on certain ranking officials to catch wind of the death probe. Forced them to watch eighteen hours of 01994 Los Angeles Clippers basketball games while listening to rap albums made by a certain Shaquille O'Neal. They were begging to reveal all after the first song was done, but what the hell, I have a mean streak in me.

The last systems of the Biancan and Madjan empires have just fallen.

Two surprise attacks occurred. East of the Totem empire Rfugee has invaded Gorhau in assault against the Marcian empire. West of the Totem empire another surprise attack has occurred at the Eagle system against Totem from Dahk. Diplomatic ties between these two empires have always been cool, especially after the destruction of F9. It seems that defensive maneuver only stalled the inevitable between these two powers. The Totem Federation has opened up diplomatic channels with the Shadian people though. Will the Totem people survive another war? Just after the last one ended and things look grim for the Marcian people?

It is uncertain where Knight will bring in his forces, as he is the only major northwestern power left. Will he try to acquire those silent empires or strike south?

Grand Lord refugee was today surprised by news reports stating that he is at war with the Dahk people. He stated that the Rfugee people had extended the hand of friendship toward the Dahkian people, and expected peace to extend throughout the galaxy.

Just an update to the war report concerning my .. ahem.. empire.

It seems many of my citizens are willingly throwing themselves to whoever lays a claim, as they are apparently unwilling to accept the discipline required to self-govern whilst I, the most noble leader, try to watch every single game of the 02002 NBA Playoffs. I know these are relics and the result is commonly known but nostaligia is a terrible thing.

Although I can't give the empire my fullest attention, I have one rule that I will occasionally look in to see fullfilled. If I named them, they are mine. ;)

URGENT NEWS BULITION FROM SHADE

My People, after watching the uncilverous actions of Knight, the Death Probes, the Attacks, the Destructions, upon our ally the DAKH Empire, We decided to attempt to purswade Knight to withdraw from Dakh's space and, in order to put a little pressure on, withdrew from the NAP.

Today, without waiting for the warning period to expire, Knight's forces struck accross the border and engaged our forces in desperate battles.

Do not dispair. The battles have not all gone his way, we destroyed over 100 ships in a number of small battles and the PJHQ is planning defensive relitary pre-emtive strikes. Our noble allies, including the great Refugee, are even now acting to attack the oppressor.

The Shadeian empire hereby demands that the Knightian Empire withdraws from its new conquests and pays componsation for its heinios actions.

Grand Lord refugee today was horrified to learn that the Knight people attacked Foxtrot obviously prior to the expiration of the NAP between our peoples. He noted that it was expressly stated that no LAUNCHES were to occur before a certain time. As the Knight forces actually took Foxtrot before that time, it is obvious that the Leader of the Knight People has no regard for agreements with other peoples.

GL refugee stated that the only reason he had given notice to cancel the NAP was to encourage the Knight people to live in peace with all, and to persuade him to give up his wars with first the Dahk and then the Shade people.

GL refugee hopes that these disagreements can be swiftly concluded. :cool:

Grand Lord refugee expressed sorrow at the loss of Sexy and Lover after a sneak attack by Knight, prior to the ending of the NAP between our peoples. GL refugee noted that the pernicious Knight people also tried to nuke Sarah, but were foiled by the newly installed death shields there.

GL refugee stated that the Knight people are just digging their graves deeper with such atrocious acts against all freedom loving people.

GL refugee requests once again that the Knight people give up their warlike ways, and stated that what comes around goes around.

To the people of Knight: In the event of futher death probe atrocities, the combined resources of the Shadian Empire and the Refugee Empire will be deployed on reliaity strikes. The former empire of Ronin could be destroyed without having much effect on the war plans of the Allience.

Shannon, I think $100 is too cheap for deathprobes. Look at 033. 34 hours left in the game and only 122 stars left. How many will be left tomorrow and a half when the game ends. :confused:

btw, I didn't throw a single death probe this game. I can't guarantee that the money I sent my allies wasn't used for such purposes though... :D
