Warmest greetings to all Denizens!
For the entertainment of all, a dancing contest has been arranged by ser Martel and sera Viola.
A panel of judges will decide which entrant or pair of entrants has displayed the most elegance and gentility, while at the same time also displaying skill, precision, and knowledge in the art of dancing, preferably in a dance that has completeness. Prizes befitting the nature of this contest will be awarded.
In order that the evening not become too cumbersome, all entrants are asked to limit their dances to not more than a count of two minutes. For the same reason, a limit must be placed on the number of pairs, so all interested parties are encouraged to sign up promptly.
If you would like to compete, please send a scroll to sera Mintle with your pair's names and your intention to enter. Scrolls will be accepted until the seventh day of the second moon.
[ooc: That's Feb. 7 for those not used to thinking in Mintle-time http://www.skotos.net/ubb/smile.gif]
The contest itself will begin at six bells on the ninth day of the second moon. Entrants take note: should all go as planned, the contest will last no more than one bell in entirety.
[ooc: translation: contest starts at 6:30 PST on Friday, Feb. 9, and should run an hour at the latest.]
Non-participating attendance is supportive and welcome, with the understanding that interruptions or distractions during the dancing will be taken as deliberate disrespect to the dancer(s) and their skill and hard work.
Please come join us in what we hope will become a contest of the finest talent of this sublime and gentle art.
