Okies...I have a few questions about Grunts...

Number one, how do I make them fight? I've tried <command grunt to attack whoever> but it says their morale is too low. If so, then how do I raise morale?

Also, what happens when we sleep? Do our grunts get lost and wander around?

Thirdly, can I only have one grunt at a time? That's what it seems like, because any time I try to invite a second grunt that I have created, it declines and calls me a pig ;)

Hmm...that's about it. Anyone able to answer these for me? I can't find the info in the help files.

Maybe the grunts go back to Grendels shrine (or is there another reason there are so many grunts there?)

Yes, when grunts run away, they run to the shrine

Not sure if the info you're looking for is listed, but in the game, try: HELP GRUNT

Unless you've already done so. :)

Speaking of which, how do you get a grunt to control?

oh, of course I read all the grunt help files...still looking for answers to all of these questions though.
So, when we sleep the grunts just wander back to the shrine then? They don't sleep or anything?....interesting.

No only if they run, your grunt will just sit there if you leave it and nothing happens to it

I put my grunt on patrols. It's been handy a few times with those Portaling wizards and unwanted intruders.

What? SOmeones having a PROBLEM getting grunts to attack? LoL. Heh, We couldn't get ours to stop. sending our grunts to the lair location was the most tedious task imaginable with them auto-attacking everything that moved. With the grunts being so weak and it being so hard to kill those hit-and-run-thieves and wizards, it took us two days to get one grunt to the lair. And we're not far from the shrine in such a way as it should be hard to get one out there. We tried every command we could to stop the grunts..but apparently 'stop' doesn't mean 'stop everything you are doing right here and right now and stop it completely' to a grunt. It probably just stops their last commanded action..and since you can;t command them to attack...you cant command them not to.

Ah well.

There are three ways, as far as I know, to get a grunt.

A. Donate resources to Grendel in his shrine.
B. Spend resources in your lair's summoning room.
C. Some undead have the ability to raise skeleton grunts from corpses. It's by far the best.

HEh, there's actually a 4th way and the best way of all, to get grunts. Simply invite any grunt you come across. I've tried this a few times and succeeded twice. Didn't cost me a single gold piece.

yeah, I've got that ability to raise grunts...I'll try putting them on patrol...I don't know if that will work though...no one else has had trouble with a grunt having low morale?

Some leader skills improve morale.
Battlecry or inspire, I think. Some of em.

My first Chimera creature had that *mighty battlecry*. When I tried it. the mighty earthshaking roar sounded like a little squeaky kneed suprano.

I deleted that monster character quickly. *eyeshift*
