  • Skotos - The Eternal City

Skotos, I have a question for you.

Why are there no paid GM staff for The Eternal City? How is this not a thing? Dozens of players are paying $30 per month and JUST playing this game. Do you have no paid staff for any of your other titles? I mean seriously, this is a business guys. If people are paying for your products you should have paid staff maintaining and improving your products, ALL of your products.

100 people paying $30 a month barely keeps Skotos afloat.

Where are you getting the 100 number? I doubt they have 8 games active with 100 total accounts paying for them.

Probably more of an "even if they had 100". Just points out the issue with having low number in a pay-to-play schema - you have to pay way more per person to keep the whole thing alive. Free accounts were a great step, but the problem is they already ran everyone off over the past what, 12 years? If we still had pre-skotos numbers and skotos ran off only advertising, I wonder if they'd be making more money than they are now...

I too would like to have an answer on this. Many of us are paying premium subscriptions as well as buying storypoints. Having questions go unanswered for years and the staff unavailable for the last several months seems like a company that is unconcerned with player retention. You want us to promote the game to our friends? Give us a reason to say TEC is #1.
No time for this - there are artifacts to find!

Yeah what Iosaerius and I are saying is that in order for a company to get more customers they have to do something to earn more customers. You can't just say "We need more customers before we make any changes." That isn't how business transactions work. You have to actively attract customers rather than hope they show up and give you money for a product that could, maybe, come out.
