Downtimes: June 24 - July 2nd

We've got another batch of shutdowns coming in late June and early July, so that the machines can be repaired for the newest bug, the ZombieLoad CPU bug.

In general, the Genesis games (Grendel, TEC, TEC-Test) all have reboots scheduled for the absolute middle of the night, so I'll be taking each down the previous evening at midnight and bringing them back up the next morning at 9am.

The SkotOS games have always been more robust about reboots, so we'll let them reboot on their own, though there's some chance for an ~2 hour data loss. In any case, I'll be checking them after the 2-hour window when I can, though Marrach has a middle-of-the-night reboot, so that'll be the next morning.

The UserDB and Web reboots will cause some downtime for the entire site, but again they will hopefully come up cleanly.

- Shutdown Grendel (late Sunday 6/23)

- Startup Grendel (early Monday 6/24)

- Shutdown TEC (late Monday 6/24)

- Startup TEC (early Tuesday 6/25)

- Check TEC Client (9pm Tuesday 6/25)

- Shutdown TEC-Test (late Thursday 6/27)

- Startup TEC-Test (Friday 6/28)

- Marrach (Monday early morning 6/24)

  • Lost your Twiki Password?

    Hello all!

Unfortunately, staff does not have access to resetting TWiki passwords for you. In the event that that you misplace, forget, or lose your TWiki password for your username, the only way to reaccess TWiki is to create a whole new username. We suggest placing the username and password in your @remember for the particular character.

To do this, you need to first login to the TWiki Guest account.

    Username: TWikiGuest
    Password: guest

This is CASE SENSITIVE, so ensure you utilize the capitol letters where applicable.

    After logging in, navigate to

Create a new username and pw, once again ensuring you save it in your @remember or somewhere else you won't lose sight of.

After creating that username and password, you won't be able to instantly log back in using the same browser. There's no way to "logoff" the TWikiGuest account (or any account for that matter) - there used to be, but it's link has long since stopped working. Instead you will need to clear out the cookies in your browser, or open a new -INCOGNITO- browser window to access twiki fresh, with your new login and pw you created.
    • To open an incognito window in Google Chrome: shortcut CTRL-SHIFT-N
    • To open an incognito window in Pale Moon: Click on the "Pale Moon" options menu at the top left, and click "New Incognito Window"
    • To open an incognito window in Firefox, click the three horizontal line icon on the top right, and click "New Private Window"
    • In Safari, click File and select "New Private Window"

If there's a browser not included here, let me know and I'll figure out how to help you with it. Additionally, if you open a different browser than what you're already logged into, you can have a Twiki window open with different logins (One for Pale Moon, one for Firefox, etc)
