    *~* A historical compilation *~*

Like ink to the pen and paper, our world revolves around history.
Every single moment slowly unfurling to a new form of mystery.

And should the fool not heed the flowing of time's tide.
A cycle and repeat endured from which he cannot hide.

Page by page, each revelation sinks in deeper.
A quick and painless death for all by the reaper.

The fires all must surely die and yet,
Like smoke, we touch the sky.

Flitting ash carried aloft which way the wind takes.
The fate for all who do not heed history's mistakes

      *~* A winter compilation *~*

Shimmer to the ground reveals that winter is near,
Breathtaking views the mountains that shine here.

Soft and light the winter spreads a blanket over my sleepy head,
Here I am, you've nothing to dread

Except for the secrets that are buried deep within the snow,
The deaths, the stories, the knowledge, that nobody wants you to know

When wind picks up, it's energy pent,
Retreat inside until its howling is spent.

Moisture, like words upon life's parchment frozen,
The spirit of the autumn's final breath is chosen.

        *~* A random compilation *~*

Lost in pieces, lost in ash,
These things were never meant to last.

Once on fire, flames now spent,
With no idea of where our love went.

But then with hope a new days wakes,
A fresh new birth it undertakes.

My future is clear, I have no time to wait,
The past is gone, it's time to choose my own fate.

          *~* Mistress Chuckles *~*

A brunette Mistress so loved her books, she built her life around them and filled every nook.
The list never did end - book one then book two, when one tale was over, she would start something new.

Until one fateful morning she awoke to find, she had naught the space for them in her mind.
So up to the infirmary she hurriedly scurried, and blabbered at the Doctor, clearly quite worried.

Mad and insane he could clearly tell, this over-the-place Mistress was surely unwell.
Politely in attempt, she asked that her mind be expanded, for tomes, scrolls, and books she fervently demanded.

He got out his doo-dads, and into her skull did bore; successfully creating a space into which she could fit MORE.
The Mistress knew not, but would soon come to dread; The Doctor actually enlarged her whole head.
Now she rather bobbles, but always with a smile; our favored Mistress Chuckles, the only-slightly senile.

            *~* Wintery-ish *~*

The moon's foreboding light grew old, to make way tomorrow's story told.
The blanket fell silent and cold, upon the high, forgotten wold.

Twisting and turning as they fall from the sky.
Becoming one with the moonlight on the ground they do lie.

Drifting and falling around stories unfolded into the breadth of time.
Restfully kissing the fragrant branches of pine, mottling the landscape in a soft, white shine.

Draping the ground a clean, pure hue, frosted where the flowers once grew.
Atop buried secrets of ancient birth, spoken only in whispers and turned over to the earth.

              *~* Wistful Exhale *~*

I tripped into a thing, and that thing was you.
I did not expect it, but my heart tripped a bit, too.

And after a moment, I heard you say,
"I hope you like dancing," and led me away.

A ballroom full of people we did find,
but the only thing that mattered was you and I.

Alone in the crowd, just me in your arms.
Unable to resist your unmistakable charms.

I fell into your eyes felt like a fairy-tale scene,
but cannot remember, are they hazel, or green?

I thought to focus on the color once more,
but was in shock from a kiss to my cheek that truly made me lost I'm sure.

              Dazed and delighted by unexpected affection;
I blame you for my sudden wistful sigh each time your name is mentioned.
