  • Open Positions for the Office of the Royal Healers: Orderly

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the healers and medicine but didn't know yet if you wanted to dedicate yourself fully to the path of being a Healer?

The Royal Healers are looking for more members to join as Orderlies, the introductory position of the Royal Healers that has a no-strings-attached approach of learning more about the Office.

An Orderly needs no lengthy prerequisites or training to join; you need only be a denizen of good standing that is at least a Welcomed Guest of Her Majesty's keep of at least moon. Special considerations may be taken for less time in the keep.

An Orderly is not expected, nor even allowed, to participate in the healing process directly. They receive no formal (ooc - teaching of Healer skill) training, and are instead meant to facilitate the various Healers in performing their duties by way of fetching materials, assisting in carrying objects, and other menial tasks.

So what's in it for you? You get valuable experience in a field that might interest you to peruse further with no expectations aside from performing the minor tasks assigned to you. After a period of a moon, should you wish to continue as a healer, you can take the formal oaths, and receive introductory training as a Nurse's Aide (ooc - receive teaching to Fellowcraft of Healer skill). No recommendations are needed; you'll earn them as you work as an Orderly, or decide it is not the position for you!

If this sounds interesting to you, send a missive to myself, Doctor Dolph Li'Astri, Royal Chief of Medicine. Include your name, length of time waking (if returning to the keep, please include separately the amount of time CURRENTLY waking as well), your normal waking bells, and a small sentence or two about what attracts you to the position. We will meet as soon as possible to move forth.

Livery: Orderlies of the Royal Healers wear a pale-red armband with a caduceus on it to signify their position in Office.
