Forums Reversion

The cloud server that hosts the main Skotos web site and the forums experienced a hardware failure on Saturday morning that unfortunately led to severe database corruption. Several attempts to restore it failed.

This led us to our backups, but the timing was a bit unfortunate. Since the failure occurred on a weekend morning, we didn't see it until after a new backup occurred, which contained the corrupted data, and which removed our previous daily backup. This forced us to our weekly backup, which was unfortunately at the end of its time: six days old.

So, the forums are back, but we had a six-day reversion.

This should not have affects on the rest of the site, since the majority of our data is saved in our main-user-database or our games, all on remote machines.

  • Watchers in the Court: a Game of Cunning and Intrigue for the Inner Baily

The Household of Lady Charmiam is excited to announce a game night to be held in the Inner Baily Ballroom, to be hosted on Moon's Day, the 27th day of the 5th Moon, 19YRA, at 8 Late Bells. Members of the Court and those honored with entrance to the Inner Baily are invited to come partake in this fun, suspenseful mystery game.

Watchers in the Court is a game of cunning, deception, and intrigue. It takes place in the Court of a far away kingdom, where a recent battle with a neighboring country has seemingly come to an end. Family and friends were lost, and war took a toll on the economy, but the Kingdom ultimately prevailed. However, the neighboring country has not truly ceased their attempts to take over the Kingdom. Some of the members of this Court are spies. Each night, another innocent member of the Court disappears without a trace. Every day, as loved ones and important figures go missing, the Kingdom holds trials to determine who is responsible. Will the Kingdom prevail in clearing out the spies? Will the spies succeed in taking over the Court for their country? Come play to find out!

((OOC Basically the game Mafia, but adjusted to work with Marrach coding))

    In Service to Lady Charmiam,
