  • Royal Library Book Festival, 20YRA - 23rd - 27th of the 8th Moon

Hosted by The Royal Library and Company

Once again we bring to Castle Marrach the annual Book Festival! The second time was much harder to complete than the first, but I have the best help one could ask for. I would like to personally thank the following women for assisting in making our literature dreams come true. Ladies Charmian and Ezraella, Mistresses Brook, Tristana, and Auriela, and seras Elora, Nariseth and Tine.

This festival will consist of five fun-packed days that celebrate literature and all things surrounding it. These literature events are guaranteed to be fun and exciting for all who participate in them. There will be events for crafting, mental challenges, amazing games, and much more that await your presence. I truly hope to see each and every one of you there.

For each event you attend, you will be given a charm from the hostess of that event. The charm will count as a ticket towards the grand prize of the festival. A charm bracelet will be provided at the opening ceremony, but if you are unable to attend you may contact me to get one. The prize will be announced at the Literature Ball as well as the winners. To win, you simply need to bring the bracelet to the Ball, and the person(s) with the most charms will win. If there is more than one winner, the prize will be split appropriately.

All denizens with access to the Inner Bailey are invited to attend the Inner events, however, I cannot stress how important your behavior is. Those who fail to behave appropriately while in the Inner Bailey will not be allowed to attend any other Festival events. Those who wish to serve the Ball should write me as soon as possible. If there are any questions about this event, please contact Mistress Adeline or sera Nariseth.

A reminder that this begins on Frey's. Be sure to mark your calendars to attend as many of the activities as possible, especially the Historic Tour hosted by the Office of the Chronicler.

Will some of the events be held in the Outer Bailey? And for those without access to the Inner Bailey, would it be possible to acquire a court pass in order to attend the Inner Bailey events? Especially the Ball?

Balls are more for the Inner Bailey with the exception of Ardor Week and the Ghost Ball. The Ghost Ball is held by the Gardeners and should be happening in the 10th moon, so keep an eye out for the details.
