  • Yarrrnival! Ye Olde Event Schedule. 12/2 - 12/9

Avast, ye land lovin' scallywags! This here be ye the schedule for the upcoming Yarrnival, so clear ye calendars or get ready to take the show on the proverbial road so to speake!

Upon joining a crew, you will be granted your pirate name and encouraged to act In Character (within legal bounds) from 7 LB to 7 EB for the duration of the event. At 7 Late Bells each night, those participating (IB and UB residents included) in the events can change into their pirate-themed costumes and engage in revelry throughout the Outer Bailey. If you are attending any events NOT part of Yarrnival in the Inner Bailey, we ask that you change your garb to be respectful to those hosts. These events are for all denizens of Castle Marrach and the Conclave. Please utilize the common tongue.

    12/2 - Ye Olde Feast

This is a rowdy feast at the Outer Bailey bar, with games, lewd songs and a potential for bar fights. This feast is open to all, proper attire, a sense of humor, and a readiness to shake off those land loving legs and amble into a week of roleplay on the sky seas!

Tonight you'll meet the Sky Pirate Queen, Lady Sinful of the Blackheart and the rebellious buccaneer, Captain Escobar of the Dreadwake! Join them for a parley and choose yer side! Come dressed in your best swashbuckling gear, bring your worst chanties and prepare for your pirate naming at this meeting of the Pirate Elite!

    Where: Outer Bailey Bar
When: 7 Late Bells on Moon's the 2nd of the 12th moon
Dress: Swashing, buckling, and wench wear encouraged!

    12/3 - Scavenger Hunt Begins!

At 7 Late Bells keep your eyes peeled for signs of a week-long scavenger hunt! Both crews will be given clues to locate a hidden treasure cache in the Castle! Fight ghouls, goblins, the undead and each other to make your way to the loot! The first crew to find the treasure will be issued a medallion (in addition to the treasure itself!) to add to their chosen Captain's hoard.

Throughout the week you'll be able to find piles of treasure guarded by sky-dog goblins. Defeat these foes and find doubloons, medallions and other precious items!

12/4 - Dat Booty: Gambling Night

You can't possibly have crews of pirates without risky gambling! This is a night of cards, dice and betting in the Outer Bailey bowling lounge! Feel free to bring your coin and prepare to engage in games of chance, risk and skill against your fellow chums (or not-so-chummy chums). The pirate with the most booty wins (or gets into a swashbuckle and potentially loses, but thems the rules. That is, there are none!)

    When: 7 Late Bells
    Where: Outer Bailey Bowling Loung

    12/5 - Sticks & Stones

This is a night for the crews to compete with each other on who has the best word play! Butt heads with the opposing crew and prove just how far your tongue can stick into your cheek. Bring your best and worst chanties, the saltiest of insults, and the most epic of poems!

Wanting to commemorate the event? An artist will be on hand to paint you and your friends in your festive garb!

    When: 7 LB
    Where: Refectory
NOTE: This is an open event. The Captains may not be available.

    12/6 - The Mermaids' Cove & The Captain's Dinner

    *** FEMALE ONLY EVENT ***

    The Mermaid's Cove

Not all women are wenches or pirates, some are mysteriously beautiful mermaids and Lady Sinful is having the gathering to prove it. This is a night of pampering at the water's edge. All females with access to the Inner Bailey or direct invites are welcome to come relax and socialize the night away with games, cosmetic pampering, fashion advice and fine wines.

Don't have an invite? Bribe, swash buckle or sing your way into this exclusive event!

    When: 7 LB
    Where: Avalonian Glade

    *** MALE ONLY EVENT ***

    The Captain's Dinner

Captain Escobar of the Dreadwake has landed in Castle Marrach to claim his booty back from the terror of the Sky Seas, Lady Sinful; but he'll need to scheme and plan with a crew of the most fearsome pirate men he can and to do so, he's having himself a feast in the illustrious Inner Bailey! Come chow down on glorious sky and sea-faring foods and raid the Mermaids' Cove with the Captain himself. Prove your worth and claim your booty!

Not from the Inner Bailey? Impress the Captain with your savvy skills and get a personal invite to his feast!

      12/7 Swashbuckling, Scavenging and Style

This day is dedicated to stealing as many medallions via trickery or skill as possible while trying to find the biggest hidden treasure of the year! End the day with a competition for best dressed on the sky seas with light gambling, drinks and enough food to fill you to your eyeballs!

      When:
All Day Swash Buckling & Scavenging
      7 LB: Style Competition

      Where:
Wherever you throw down your challenges!
      7 LB: Theater

12/8 - Fight Night: No Rules Tournament

What's a pirate festival with no fighting? The Scourge of the Sky Seas, Lady Sinful of the Blackheart, invites all swashbuckling sky dogs to participate in her tournament of arms! An array of (rebated) weapons will be available, along with refreshments, and a unique prize for the winner! Trickery, treachery and even teamwork is allowed! Losers may be forced to walk the plank.

      Rules:

There are none, not really, anyway. Combatants may be chosen at the whim of Lady Sinful or Captain Escobar and pitted against each other until only one remains. The combatants may utilize any weapons made available by the Lady, as well as dirty tricks, and hand to hand fighting.

Combatants must present at least 2 tokens given for participating at other Yarrnival events to enter. That or bribery is always an option.

*NOTE:* Teamwork doesn't mean everyone gets the prize. There is only one. There can be only one. Don't lose your head.

12/9 - Take to the Skies

The last day of Yarrrnival will determine which crew gets to take to the skies and which has to walk the plank! The fate of Lady Sinful and Captain Escobar is decided by their respective crews abilities during the week long festival. The pirate hoard with the most medallions wins.

This will also be one of the last days the traveling sky pirate merchant will be available for doubloon spending.

      When: 7 LB
      Where: Gate Courtyard
