A reminder that food, drink and other items or goods found within the Inner Bailey are not to be transported, placed or given to the Outer Bailey, as noted above -- Therefore, the Chancery views the removal of such items from the Inner Bailey without the explicit permission of a Minister or Noble of the Court to fall under Section 3.3.05 of the Capitulary, Stealing and Petty Theft. Note that it is also within the Chancery's discretion to view those who receive or consume such goods as being in violation of Section 3.3.06, Receiving Stolen Goods.

A reminder: Petty Theft and Receiving Stolen Property are both punishable by a day in the stocks or 12 lashes for each instance.

    To All Her Majesty's Guests,

Please allow me to take a moment to perhaps clarify, or explain for those who are unaware, a point of law. It is the role and duty of the Chancery to interpret Her Majesty's Capitulary, which is to say that the Chancery determines much of where, when, and how these Laws are properly applied. It is then the role and duty of the Royal Guard and the Castle Sentry to apply these laws.

Since there is some confusion, allow me also to take a moment to remind all that Her Majesty, through Her Will and Benevolence, decides what gifts shall be made available to her guests and subjects as She chooses.

It is Her Will that those luxury items, such as food and drink, gifted to those living in, or with access to, the Inner Bailey, be for them and them alone while they are in the Inner Bailey. This is Her right as Queen and Provider.

Therefore, the Chancery views the removal of such items from the Inner Bailey without the explicit permission of a Minister or Noble of the Court to fall under Section 3.3.05 of the Capitulary, Stealing and Petty Theft. Note that it is also within the Chancery's discretion to view those who receive or consume such goods as being in violation of Section 3.3.06, Receiving Stolen Goods.

Hopefully this will alleviate any confusion over the matter.

    Sir Boreas
    Lord Chancellor

    Attention Denizens of Castle Marrach,

It has come to my attention that those who have access to the Inner Bailey, either through intrinsic or job rank have been removing luxury items from the Inner Bailey to the Outer Bailey at leisure.

At this time, as Captain of the Royal Guard, I am officially requesting that all luxury items of the Inner Bailey; things you cannot obtain in the Outer, remain within the Inner Bailey.

This includes, but is not limited to the fine wines and foods of the Inner.

If you are a guest in the Inner (intrinsically or job wise) please finish your food and drink in the Inner.

In regards to impromptu socials in the Outer please utilize the food and drink provided to the Outer or plan ahead and contact the cooks for appropriate items.

Thank you for your understanding and coopperation.

    - Eeva, Captain of the Royal Guard
