Seriously, who out there believes that every 'Let's Stop Fighting' message is a "care-bear" thing?

Is there no gray space between "I'm a care-bear: everyone must love another and by happy" and "I hate everyone and anyone that disagrees with me is going to Die a slow painful death"?

The chambers in the house of dreams,
Are fed with so divine an air,
That Time's hoary wings grow young therein,
And they who walk there are most fair.

I've never been called a carebear, and I have posted "take this privately" or "there is no need for argument" posts before. It's in the way you phrase it. See the following:

      Example A:
      "Let's all be friends! *HUGGLE*"

      Example B:
"Can't you just agree to disagree and move along? You are wasting precious internet space with your babble, which can be filled with Strongbad email and porn."

Example A is used by annoying carebears, Example B by Jessif... I mean... other people. *cough*

Oh, you'd be surprised. One request of 'can we all get along' nets you some nasty 'Carebear!!!!' comments. But you're right. You should be able to post something in a clear, concise, polite manner without the whiners either trying to start a flamewar or throw carebear accusations around.

        It's sad, in a way.

If it makes you feel any better, I agree with you. There's lots of space between the extremes. I try to post meaningful stuff (even if it's a bit silly).

            Now seriously.

There is a grey space. Zviad, Lance, and others fill it/illustrate it perfectly I think.

... since I am such an expert on the subject?

            As for the
"I hate everyone and anyone that disagrees with me is going to Die a slow painful death"?
-part ... I'm not sure what to tell you. It's so attractive, I can't help but condemn most people to it, in any case. It's nothing personal, really. And it's nothing about disagreements. It's more about "You're a dumbass, and throwing pink confettis everywhere isn't going to solve the problem no matter how hard you try", and those types of people who deserve agonizing and gore-addled descriptions of death.

Did you know violence really does solve everything?

            Yeah! News to me too!

              I particularly find carebear's frightening...

I have Carebears nailed through their heads to my ceiling back in my bedroom at my parents' house.

                *grave nod*

                Right where they belong.

It's based off an opinion. Obviously, that opinion is that the current argument is not worth fighting over. As obviously, the people arguing disagree (or are merely bored); else they obviously wouldn't fight.

Stepping into an argument and asking people to stop arguing is like stepping into a bedroom and asking people to stop having sex or stepping into a church and asking people to stop praying.

They made a conscious choice to do what they're doing.

It's their thing and noone invited you to come and break it up.

Who has a fucking right to say they shouldn't be doing it?

                  Hello? I'm listening.

                  Ah. Thought so.

You mean to tell me you have Carebears placed so they can watch you have sex?

                      Carebears instead of mirrors.

Yes, in fact that's exactly what I'm saying.

                          ... it's that obvious?

                          I feel exposed.

Then wrap yourself in your body bag again?

It's not becoming to decompose publically.

"Cover your decomposing self, Jessifur, you're making the Carebears cry!"

Can I atleast go for a shroud? Body-bags are so very restricting.
