            • "The Night I Served a Codpiece" by Hildegard Helmsdottir

I got to see a Knight one night; a Knight one night, new made.
I helped him take his clothes off in a cool and secret glade.
              Now this is not a raunchy poem, no epic of disgrace;
It all was ceremonial; no uncouth deeds took place.

We all went to the chapel, where the good Knight, he was dubbed
All clad in his new Knightly clothes, his body freshly scrubbed.
And after cheering loudly, to the Great Hall we retired
Where Nobles, Knights and Commoners this new Knight all admired.

Now, I'm a lowly commoner; no high-bred noble lass.
I was supposed to serve the drinks, but couldn't find a glass.
Of course, it was the magic I'd forgotten from my fears.
Just tilt the bottle, and, aha! A champagne flute appears!

A Lady wanted Cognac, and I dutifully tried,
But after reading labels, nothing suitable I spied.
Instead I poured her brandy, which she graciously received.
A friend began to help me out, at which I was relieved.

Eventually, I relaxed, and listened to the chatter.
I was completely unaware of just what was the matter,
Until I checked my armload; "Gee, it's heavy!" was my thought.
And then I knew my night of fun was very dearly bought.

There in my arms the bounty lay, between my glass and bottle.
I wished that I could disappear, or else myself to throttle.
All through the night, I'd carried safe a mound of fine apparel.
For something to poke fun at, I was fish now in a barrel.

For over all, the crowning item, was the codpiece fine
Belonging to that new made Knight; for sure, it wasn't mine!
My eyes went wide, my stomach churned, my face grew very hot.
(You see, by now it's funny; in that moment, it was not.)

I'm sure the Nobles were amused when my mistake they spied.
Most gallantly they did not laugh; to hide their mirth they tried.
I quick approached a messenger and got from him a pack
To mail the clothing to the Knight I knew would want it back.

That codpiece was the first I chose to hide from Nobles' sight.
The hose were quick to follow, and I'd lessened some my plight.
So piece by piece, I put it all into that package kind.
My error now was gone from sight, but not, so much, from mind.

I gradually lost my shame and stayed there for a while.
I talked and listened, laughed and cheered, for over was my Trial.
I hope, if it's remembered long, my Honor bears no stain
Because of that one night I served a codpiece with champagne.

              • Harabec deeply intones his sculpted redwood viol.

You grin at Tristana in Northern, "Trade?"

                Tristana nods surely.

                You nod likewise to Tristana.

Harabec encourages his sculpted redwood viol martially.

Tristana says in Northern, "But I still want the cute one if you find one"
                > listen to harabec's viol
You listen to Harabec's sculpted redwood viol.

Harabec pitches a sculpted redwood viol occasionally.

                > meanwhile focus my attention on harabec's viol
                Harabec has no viol.
                > meanwhile focus my attention on harabec's instrument
                Harabec has no instrument.
                > meanwhile focus my attention on harabec's case's viol
Harabec's sculpted redwood viol case holds no viol.
                > meanwhile focus my attention on viol
You meanwhile focus your attention on a sculpted redwood viol.

                • Diana nestles her chin against her dark red fiddle.

Filusae outwardly unfurls her dainty right hand and her fingers.

Filusae crooks her fingers, her black-silver set of fingertip rings and her black-silver claw ring shinily.

Diana draws her fiddle's bow slowly over the strings of a fiddle.

Filusae rhymes easily, "A dance in the sea with a creature like me? What comes, what will be? Remains to be seen."

You wordlessly accompany Diana with your dusky contralto voice.

                  Filusae shrilly giggles.

You harmonize your dusky contralto voice with the strings of a fiddle.

Diana strums her dark red fiddle with the bow, and plays an enthralling song.

Harabec extends his strong left hand openly to Filusae, "What be you, predator or prey? What is to become of me."

Harabec moves from the center of the room to Filusae.

Harabec circles Filusae in an intricate dance of footwork.

You serenade the bowling lounge with your dusky contralto voice and Diana's dark red fiddle.

Harabec hears your dusky contralto voice excitedly.

Hildegard listens enchantedly to Diana's dark red fiddle and you.

Filusae dances in perfect rhythm to the music with Harabec lithely, "Why, ser oh ser! I am predator you are prey. This could be the end, you might drown today. Who do you leave, who remains in dismay? In the end, you are mine, the whale's left to play."

You enchantingly lilt your dusky contralto voice.

Hildegard chuckles softly at Filusae's words.

                  Harabec grins helplessly at Filusae.

                  Filusae twirls with Harabec oppositely.

Diana hums ethereally with her dark red fiddle, your dusky contralto voice and her pure, soprano voice.

You musically articulate your downturned lips and your tongue.

Filusae singsongs tunefully, "Hooray, I say! We frolic from the bay, to your deities best you pray! Under the waves you dance and sway - evermore, the mighty whale leads astray."

You operatically counter Diana's pure, soprano voice with your dusky contralto voice.

Harabec sweeps around Filusae guardedly, "Prey I may be but nae have you found an opponent such as me. Your vanity, your glory is nought but a story. Here I shall show you what it is to be dory."

                  Hildegard whispers Tine.

                  Filusae darkly chuckles, "Ohh?"

You melodically envelop Harabec's words and Filusae's words.

Harabec moves his feet with Diana's dark red fiddle energetically, "Indeed I may be a meal for you to consume but you will find that a fight will ensue."

Filusae glides elegantly over the floor with Harabec, "You claim my glory, my beauty a farce! I find your words needlesly harsh. I quip you now, I dare you deep - Shall I show you the danger you keep?"

OOC -- You say, "Famous Rap Battles Of Marrach"

                  OOC -- Hildegard says, "Yuuusssss!!"

Diana bites her full rose petal lower lip.

                  • Harabec sidesteps to the left and to the right with Filusae.

Diana strums her dark red fiddle with the bow, and plays a restless song.

Filusae lyrically raises her voice, "Come into the sea of blood and tears, the fallen drowned deeply hewn 'neath tide and flood! By the years by the eons I have lived and grown, reaped and sewn all that were known. Forgotten after a dance... a gambled chance. Left alone to only dark fears."

Diana intricately harmonizes with her pure, soprano voice, her dark red fiddle and your dusky contralto voice.

Filusae promenades Harabec aggressively in a circle.

Harabec circles Filusae closer in an intricate dance of footwork, "Then perhaps we must see what beast are thee? Truly an enemy or a savior in the dark? We shall see what calamties will fall on my heart."

                    Filusae gleefully giggles at Harabec.

Filusae invasively waltzes through the center of the room with Harabec, "Hmm hmm..."

                    Filusae coyly smiles.

Diana lifts her striking pale celestine eyes to a tall man in a indigo cloak.

Filusae sings hauntingly, "Give me your hand, give me your dreams. I'll spin them around into horrible things...."

                    Filusae giggles again.

Harabec slides his strong right hand to Filusae, "Show me now beast, what decision have you made? Eat me now or save me in kind?"

                    Diana drops her piercing gaze.

Filusae coos onwardly, "Give me your wishes, give me your heart. I'll devour your soul, I'll tear it apart."

Filusae maliciously smiles to Harabec's blue eyes.

                    Diana almost smiles.

                    Diana amuses herself with Filusae.

Filusae runs her tongue over her sensual lower lip.

Harabec responds to Filusae quickly, "No choice have I but to trust you now, my savior in the dark or the light beneath my bow."

Harabec follows Filusae smoothly through a complicated dance step.

Filusae spins Harabec recklessly, "Trust! You offer a true treat delight, What do you see in this imagined light? For dark is the deep, pitch is the night! To the waters - Do you swim or fight?"

Filusae enjoys herself immensely with Harabec.

Diana thunderously accompanies Filusae and Harabec with her dark red fiddle.

Harabec twirls himself with Filusae increasingly, "Naught more can I swim, my breathe is all spent, do with me now whatever your content."

You melodically match Diana's pure, soprano voice and Diana's dark red fiddle.

                    Filusae decides about Harabec.

Filusae faster spins with Harabec, "Give me your blood, give me your bones - I promise you will ne'er be alone."

                    Hildegard watches Filusae and Harabec.

Diana beautifully counters you with her dark red fiddle and her pure, soprano voice.

Filusae tauntingly rhymes, "Know you now, come to this! We seal a friendship, a dance with a kiss! Not of lips and not of sorrow, but a sealing of words that lead to tomorrow!"

Harabec turns fully to Filusae, "My ship is gone, my bow is broken, am I naught but your token? Save me, heal me, keep me eat me. I am yours now forever more."

                    Filusae haltingly stops.

                    Filusae lifts her pinky.

Diana strikes her dark red fiddle once.

                    Filusae wiggles her pinky invitingly.

Diana silences her dark red fiddle dramatically.

                    Diana suspensefully waits.

You silence your dusky contralto voice too.

                    Harabec steps closely to Filusae.

Diana echoes her velvet soft voice wordlessly through the bowling lounge.

Diana ever-so-softly kisses her dark red fiddle with her fiddle's bow.

Filusae upwardly peers at Harabec through her ebony oilcloth whale mask.

                    Filusae awaits her pinky.

                    Hildegard whispers Tine.

Filusae hugely occupies the center of the room.

Hildegard watches Filusae and Harabec intently.

Harabec slips his pinky around Filusae's pinky, "Onward then, for adventures to come. I will keep you safe should the time come."

                    Filusae rarely blushes.

Diana strums her dark red fiddle with the bow, and plays a sad serenade.

Diana surrounds Filusae and Harabec with her pure, soprano voice and her dark red fiddle.

You encompass Harabec's pinky and Filusae's pinky together with your dusky contralto voice.

Filusae pleasedly gazes at Harabec through her large amber eyes, "Yes, yes! Then friend you are arrived in rare. Should any bring harm I'll give them a scare! To ribbons their flesh, to bone I'll bite. A friend of mine rests well at night. Should any cross, should any dare... I will leave them terror-aware."

OOC -- Filusae says, "PERFECTION! Social point cap right -then-."

                    • Harabec suddenly starts to shrink, growing smaller little by little at first but gradually accelerating until he is only about ankle-high.

Tine giggles at A shrunken Harabec, "Not again."

                      Taite chuckles, "Tiny Harabec."

Alyndra pinches her belly, "I feel like I'm getting fatter."

A shrunken Harabec watches a sprawling pumpkin patch still, "Anyway I ...I.."

A shrunken Harabec feels his voice oddly.

You smirk at A shrunken Harabec, "You really love being able to look up our skirts."

A shrunken Harabec remembers about a tabby cat, "Oh no."

Tine widens her round deep green eyes at you.

A shrunken Harabec hides behind his dainty sparkling purple pumpkin quickly.

You shoo a tabby cat from A shrunken Harabec.

Tine checks her pair of fawn poplin side-laced pants.

You move from an ancient spruce bench to the ground.

You pluck A shrunken Harabec from the ground.

A shrunken Harabec squeaks at the Gate Courtyard, "Has it reacted? I know I said they like me but your constant warnings worry me."

You carry A shrunken Harabec to an ancient spruce bench.

You lower A shrunken Harabec to an ancient spruce bench.

A shrunken Harabec swings his limbs unexpectedly.

Taite says, "I want to pet him."

A shrunken Harabec moves from a sprawling pumpkin patch to an ancient spruce bench.

A shrunken Harabec plops on an ancient spruce bench.

You sit down on an ancient spruce bench.

A shrunken Harabec swings his legs relaxedly, "Thank you."

A shrunken Harabec smoothes his pair of oxblood fustian pants messily.

You grin sidelong at A shrunken Harabec, "De nada. It was bad enough with Filusae running around small as a mouse last night."

                      Alyndra giggles at you.

A shrunken Harabec yells unhelpfully, "You think it has something to do with me? I seem to shrink more than others."

A shrunken Harabec barely raises his voice.

Tine nods to A shrunken Harabec surely, "I am certain of it."

You harmlessly poke A shrunken Harabec with your fingertip, "It's that huge ego of yours, needing to be taken down."

                      You obviously jest.

You sit down on an ancient spruce bench still.

A shrunken Harabec nearly topples from an ancient spruce bench, "Mine? Never."

You remark to Tine, Alyndra and Taite, "Had he the string of bells in his hair still, we could use him as a musical instrument."

A tabby cat moves from the northeast door to the doorway under the steps.

A tabby cat slinks out through the doorway under the steps.

Taite laughs at you, "Shake him and see if he jingles."

A shrunken Harabec scoffs squeakily at you, "You would most certainly not!"

Tine worries about A shrunken Harabec a-little, "That seems a bit mean."

A shrunken Harabec waves his right fist minutely, "I'd give you a... paper cut before I let that happen!"

A shrunken Harabec obviously means his steel stiletto.

                      A shrunken Harabec likely jests.
